I thought I'd dl it and have a go for old time's sake thinking the graphics would surely still be OK. Lasted 5 minutes before deleting. Felt like I was playing the Money For Nothing music video.

Did you get your chicks for free .

I still play it every year, rockstar did miracles with that game engine to get the whole map.

San Andreas is closer to the money for nothing video clip then a game released in 2024. Another way for us to feel old.

I mentioned in the US election thread that my four grandparents were all born in the late 1800s. I don't think I ever really thought about that. I AM old.

2 of mine were and the other 2 were born during WW1

Why do older people always wear shirts and nice shoes? How can a shirt be comfortable. They will pair a shirt with the worst trackies too most times.

I despise shirts

my grandpa wore a shirt and tie every day

My mother's father was born in what is now Poland about 1881. It was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire then. My mother's mother was born in Germany in 1888. They both migrated to the US and only spoke German and Polish. They married in Chicago around 1908 or so. They learned English and that was the language they used at home. I do remember them breaking into Polish at times, especially when they were mad at each other.

Two of my cousins travelled to my grandfather's home village in Poland right before Covid and met the relatives remaining there. They went again a couple of months ago. I always think of thr German scene in European Vacation where the Griswalds stay with the wrong family.

My father's father was third generation Irish, so my name is about the only Irish thing about me. My other siblings also have Irish names, though Anglicised. My father's mother was second generation Czech which she spoke and prayed in. She was born in Chicago in 1899.

I'm glad that over 140 years after my papa was born, I still can picture him tinkering at his Singer pedal sewing machine as he was a tailor by trade. He made me my first suit for my confirmation when I was about eleven in 1963.
