Mankad cheating on the menu coach?

My under 12 coach came over from another comp to captain our ones. In his first game he mankaded a bloke to win the game against our most heated rivals ha ha.

He was a combative coach, not only encouraged us to sledge (in under 12s) but he would give us lines. "Oh look at this bloke, he's wearing a Vic schoolboys shirt, make sure you let him know he'd better make runs now the hero!"

I emulate some of his practices but not all of them.

Never understood the hatred for this, simple answer is don't leave your crease early!!

****ing oath, it is deadset cheating. It's just one of those cricket things that is what it is, i think the stigma against it is declining though, particularly through 20.20 I think.

I had a female housemate who I knew that when she broke out the Maltesers it was time to make myself scarce.
Speaking of Radelaide, today I learned that a pink lamington is called a Jelly Cake and a doughnut with jam and cream is called a Kitchener Bun.

I have been warned about Fritz Fritters so will studiously avoid.

I've never heard of a jelly cake and I've always been more fillet steak than fritz.

I've heard of jelly cakes, but I thought those were lamingtons that had been soaked in jelly

A jelly cake is actually sponge dipped in jelly mix to soak it up and has cream in it, never seen one described as you mentioned.

OK so it seems the bakery in Millicent put us crook. It was definitely a pink lamington, with a bit of cream and a splot of raspberry jam on top.
You got a jelly fake, which is what they call those in South Australia.

A mixture of H2O, random suspended particles and mud is called "tap water"

Growing up in the motherland i really only saw Warner bowl during the ashes mostly home series.

Now everyone knows the Gatting ball but a Warnie highlight reel came up on my you tube and **** me he was a magician. Saw 3 deliveries to Windies batsmen (left handed) that pitched so far outside off they would be called wide and rip and spin so far in to knock off middle- leg stump.

Unplayable.

Best player I've ever seen in my forty plus years watching the game. The degree of difficulty that comes with bowling leggies, let alone doing what he could do elevates Warnie above anyone else.
