Things that please me - Part 5

As part of the recent clean up, the items I've sent to various op shops includes like clothing (new & barely worn), duplicate sporting membership items, kitchen ware etc

I've kept other things to try & sell myself, as I've had some success with that in past and hoping to do so again

I've got a couple of pairs of never worn Dr Martens, that I hope will fetch me a bit of money, curtains still in original packaging (wrong drop height & ultimately didn't take them up), Pokemon & Digimon stuff, colouring-in books (brand new), jigsaw puzzles, furniture and other random stuff

I've used FB market place in the past, but the nutters put me off using it

I’m pleased that I’m building a pergola with my father in law and have yet to lose my shit at him or myself or my tools.

Give it time. :tearsofjoy:
Was very close yesterday as the pre drilled holes were in the wrong spot and I couldn’t do up a bolt , reckon steam was coming off me after about ten minutes trying to get it on.

This is so good.

You’ve sent me down a rabbit hole of pet shop boys songs. I’ll be humming absolutely fabulous all day tomorrow

Nightlife was a fair approximation of my life when it came out.

They said in their interview.
Since not many people said in the 80s they were gay.they went to underground gay clubs and 95% of people never heard the music they were playing in those clubs.

Love how Chris pokes fun at Neil all the time..it's a sin.

i still to this day regret selling the original Choose Your Own Adventure books
mustve had 80 odd, lot of first eds

absolute idiotic move
I sold all my fighting fantasy books a few years ago. Did very well. I loved them but with no kids I didn't really need them so I didn't regret it and those who bought them definitely wanted them.

I love selling off stuff Mrs B gives me shit about 'hoarding' for years and making money on them while she sells off clothes and shoes she's never even worn for a fraction of what she paid. 😂

I've donated books to opp shops I've got no interest in reading again, but the hardest books for me to contemplate selling was my collection of Goosebumps books from their original publication in the 90s - they were the books that got me into reading as a kid and I had 25 -> 30 in my collection

I priced them to sell a few times at a reasonable price of like $2 each or a discounted for the lot, with a few adults making seriously stupid counter offers when their only interest was how much profit they could make

At a garage sale I had a young kid looking at them and I was more than happy to part with them for a fair price knowing that new owner was going to be the one to read them & hopefully get the same joy of reading that I got from them

I think my foster dog is going home tomorrow or Thursday.

She's been incredibly hard work and incredibly slow progress, but I think she's ready, and I think she'll do well.
