General state of the World.
**** it’s depressing .

Watched a Louie Theroux Episode last night about these Vloggers in America on the White Supremecist bandwagon .

MFG what has the world come to .
People like that ****en parasite “ Beardly Beardson “ are a very worrying insight into the shit that is being spread across the world unfiltered .

Not expecting food prices to drop. Supermarkets will take advantage of this situation and never drop their prices
If the price of petrol never comes down, due to wars and other supply issues such as the diesel additive that’s in short supply, trade sanctions affecting our imports and exports, lack of agricultural workers to harvest fruit and vegs, changes in workplace protocols due to covid, you could be right. But I wouldn’t say it’s taking advantage.

I believe there is racism in the system, I don't believe this incident is an example of it.
Im tipping if the teen that was killed was white the cop would be facing much more serious repercussions.

That is if the cop would have shot a white teen 3 times in the first place (which is extremely doubtful to me).

Or maybe if the culprit was white we wouldn't even know about it as no-one would give a shit

If things blow over and go back to normal, if ever. Will prices drop ? I can't see it happening. They'll just leave it.

I know it's a few years old now, but in 2008 Tyler Cassidy, a 15 year old white teenager was struck by 5 bullets shot by 3 police officers - I didn't realise it was that long ago, until searching it today

I honestly don’t remember this particular incident but from wiki

“Before the shooting, Cassidy had armed himself with two large knives which he had stolen from a nearby shopping centre and threatened members of the public, insisting that they call the police. In the park, police demanded that Cassidy drop the knives, but he did not. After attempting to subdue Cassidy twice with OC spray,[1] three officers fired ten shots from their Smith & Wesson Model 10 .38 Special revolvers, with five of these striking Cassidy”

It also reads like there were tasers used.

Fwiw I actually think the use of force was justified im only pointing out that in many many cases of indigenous offenders (or naturally African American offenders in the states) use of lethal force seems to be the first option whereas white offenders get all non lethals first.

I have two things today:

- Customers who send long winded insulting emails and when you ring them they brush it off and claim they weren't really that upset. Weak as piss

- My 7 year old has his ****ing school play tonight starting at 7pm, I'd probably be watching Richmond v Carlton if that wasn't on. Happy to watch on delay but I'll bet a parent will update me with the scores at some point.

So a regular stream of DMs from the good citizens of General Discussion keeping you updated on the score this evening would shit you greatly?

I get a lot anyway from the multitudes of females in GD, always trying to slide into my DMs, they know I'm married but can't resist having a pop.

I honestly never remember having anything outside of school hours in Primary School. High School you'd have some sports but outside of that I can't recall my parents ever coming to my school out of hours other than for parent teacher.

Yeah it was rare for us too, well other than the good Mick celebrations of communions etc.

Apart from turning up to watch us suck at sport my folks generally outsourced things that required actual parenting.
