along with the classic cars regularly driving through.

Saw the Austin-Healey owners group in a park near Glenelg, and the MG owners group taking over somewhere in Aldinga.

brb borrowing an MG3 to drive up to them asking for membership :D

Same happened to me. I procrastinated for months, pumping the b*****d up every few weeks until I faced reality and got a new set.
I'm currently in the procrastination stage 😂

When I got my car serviced a few months can they said the tyres were ok for now, but to monitor them as they're starting to show standard signs of aging

A few weeks back I noticed the front drivers side wheel was looking a little flat and when I got to the service station to check it showed 23psi on the pump machine - it's been ok in the weeks since, no signs of going flat but I'm keeping an eye on it because if it drops again I'll go get a new set

I have had such a productive day today and my computer just crashed and I’ve lost a whole two day presentation I wanna cryyyy

save-as is your friend. Every time you add something important or when you think "I don't want to lose the last 20 minutes work."

2daypresentation.01
2daypresentation.02
2daypresentation.03
...
profit

Eventually one day get around to deleting the old versions.

And as someone who makes a living using MS Word (ugh) "Autosave On" is a pile of shit never to be relied upon.

My step mum has an old MG, they're lovely bits of kit.

That's probably for the best. Mine even went down to 8psi once :$. Then I dug out the receipt for the last set I bought - it was in 2014!

You can get good true deals but can be $$$$$

Here's a good site to compare prices. Have purchased tyres through them a few times. Go to the 'I know my size. Find tyres' button

In today's tales from my wannabe HOA.

"A friendly reminder to not put cardboard boxes down the rubbish chute, we almost had a blockage today."

Almost? Jesus, WTF is wrong with these people and their sad little lives?

I nearly dropped a hot metal vape on my junk just now. I nearly set the building on fire when I was cooking before. I nearly spit on the guy downstairs the other day when I hokked a golly off the balcony just as he was walking outside.

Can you imagine how little I would get done if I spent time worrying about all the things that almost happened?

I had the front passenger down to 23 the other week, but couldn’t remember the last time I’d actually pumped them up, haven’t checked again since but hoping it’s not the tires as they’re not that old and they have plenty of tread.

But interested to know what sort of kms people get out of their tires? I’m 99% sure I’ve only replaced the tires on this car once and I got over 100k on them. But previous cars used to be about 60-70k.

I've had to replace my drivers side it's own due to tyre damage - not sure what I ran over at the train station car park but it was dead when I got back to my car that night and because of the position of the damage (almost on the outside edge), it couldn't be repaired

I've run over the odd nail which was easily repaired

I would be surprised if these tyres really did need to replaced as they seem fine treat wise - they're only 3 years old and I don't do any significant amount of driving, but they could likely do with a realignment and check from a proper tyre place

Probably depends on the quality of tyre.
And quality of roads we drive on.

I noticed I had a tyre down last year when I was in Eaglehawk neck..
Next day I had a four drive to Devonport pumped it up twice before getting on the ferry.
Was worried how bad it was going to be once I got back to Vic.
Was ok took to jacks to patch it up

That’s what made me finally replace the last set, I ran over a whole heap of nails that had obviously fallen off a Ute or truck, not fun to see after a game of cricket. But the guy looked at them and said there’s not much tread left on any of them!!!

But yeah 3 years you should be pretty right. The shocking state of our roads is not helping them stay inflated obviously. But realignments are something I never think of doing.

I'll have to keep an eye 👀 on my front passenger tyre I pumped up yesterday.
I'm not surprised because I've been down some rough roads.off the beaten track.

Just driving down the main highways and freeways in Victoria is enough to stuff up anyone’s tires as they’ve been neglected for 10 years.

Although sometimes they’ll send out someone to put out warning signs and lower the speed limit around the worst patches, then leave them there for years and not fix…
