Day 5 of the test and Day 4 for me watching it in background while at hospital with my gf.
Has had more heart tests and it’s not performing well. May have to transfer to the other GC hospital (45mins away, ergh..) where there are heart specialists.
All the best to you both

Just had cardiologist in.
They think its an impact from some of the chemo drugs she had back in 2021/2022. Its rare, and particularly this soon after having them - some small percentage of people can get a weaker heart/heart failure a decade or more after but my lucky girl seems to have been the 1 in a million that she is to get it this soon.

So next step is to take some drugs to lower the heart rate (that is resting at 100+ bpm - as its compensating itself for being so weak with extra beats to get the blood everywhere).
And then once lowered, another ct scan and update.
Likely to be in hospital all week and then a slow (weeks into months) of recovery, strengthening meds and rehab plan.

This is the traditional ING debit card. You only get the card number, account name, and expiry date. The CVV verification code for online purchases is on the back. Mrs Post got sent a new card after a scam attempt.

These are the new cards. No embossing (who uses the ol' zip-zap voucher machines any more?) but more importantly the rear has:
Card number
Account name
Expiry date
CVV
Customer ID

All in one convenient place for scumbags to get with zero effort.

It's now a thing for some workers to keep the EFTPOS terminal out of reach on their side of the counter, and get the customer to hand the card over so they can tap it. And on the way, conveniently pass the card over the top of a phone that's recording video. Hey presto, instant access to your funds for internet shopping, no card skimmer required because they've got your CVV verification code.

And if you DO need to punch in a PIN for purchases over $100, and they memorise or record you using the keypad, they now also have full access to your internet banking via your customer ID and PIN.

Sheesh.

What a ****ing security nightmare.

It isn't just ING. My new Westpac card is the same.

Don't ever hand over your card to anyone else. Always check the amount before scanning. If entering a PIN, cover with your hand.

For an in-person purchase the merchant doesn't need any of the information on the underside of the card - it's all about the chip. If you are worried about that scam then cover some of the information with a sticker or attach a piece of paper with a clip or two.

That second style of card has been in use for u se for a few years now - I have a Latitude card that I use for overseas travel or purchases, and I'm now on my second card of that look

Best option when paying by card is to never hand it over to anyone for payment purposes - EFTPOS machines will have long cables or wireless abilities to allow customers to tap, and if a staff member suggests otherwise they're taking crap

Hear hear. It’s not a hard rule to make for your own protection.

I’ve never seen anything of that nature and haven’t been asked for my card, maybe I’ve just been lucky.

Carvedilol or apixaban?

I think he mentioned the former but first dose tomorrow i think so will check. You have explained in either gc?
Yes my resting heart rate was also at 100 and I was on apixaban for blood thinning and still on carvedilol just to keep it lowish - more about making the heart work less harder which you explained

Ok. Hope you are well gc.

Had my bypass and valve replacement 18 months ago

Not doing myself any favours. Do you know of a BT blonde about 41 - just to give me motivation?
I know many blondes.

Tomorrow night i am going to take into hospital a bottle of zero alcohol wine i know she likes and stay past visiting hours and hopefully make it to midnight before they kick me out.
