There's a noisy ass cicada in my house somewhere and I can't find it because every time I get near it, it shuts up. Little bastard.

For a week or two I had a loud cicada just outside my bedroom window. It was like sleep deprivation torture. One night I found myself bollock naked in my front garden whacking the ground with a squash racquet.

Yep ive been there- i used to live in a converted garage, so they were right outside.

I would be outside like a crazy person in the middle of the night spraying mortein.

I currently live in a single brick house, and one night latish last year I got up at like 2am/3am, turned the bedroom light on and got my phone light on exploring all areas of my room & bathroom trying to find the bloody cicada that sounded like it was directly under my bed

The noise was only marginally louder when I opened the window and that’s when I realised the noise was outside - and pretty much ever night since I’ve had to tell myself to ignore that the stupid, annoying bugger
