Had to have a go at a workmate yesterday, in short she's lazy as ****. A week ago I asked her a yes/no question that she knew the answer to via Teams. This went back and forth but she suggested I look at the daily report in my emails to find out. I ended up calling her (at midday) and no answer and no returned call all day.

Anyway yesterday she rang me and it was basically the same scenario, something I knew the answer to but she could have found from her emails. I pointed out that I could help her but didn't really feel like it given her lack of help in a similar scenario for me.

She (very) begrudgingly apologised for that, so I said no worries I'll send you an email in 5 mins with the info, which i did.

I'm not the only one shit like this has happened too with her, she works from home basically exclusively, is in a non client facing role so you'd think be available all day within reason, she goes missing a lot, **** knows what she does.

Have you raised it? What has management said?

Good that you called her out.

It's so refreshing to see someone addressing something directly. So much of my job is people whinging to me about little tiny grievances that they could easily just handle themselves by speaking to the person about it.

This is part of the problem, our director got the arse late last year, now we're reporting into the CEO in the US. So we have no local leader, most of us are working together to make the best of the situation, some are taking the complete piss. I don't want to complain to the CEO about this so trying to sort our shit together.

It's not something I enjoyed doing at all, I just got triggered when she asked for my help. A lot of my other colleagues have experienced similar with her, turns out prob half an hour earlier another colleague had a go at her as well for going missing.

I'm hoping she puts in a bit more now, i'm not sure this will happen though, nothing is ever her fault etc etc

Pls complain to the CEO about it. Mostly for our amusement

When youre watching game show and its at the pointy end and look at the clock to realise the next show is about to start ergo the contestant is gonna lose
I always wondered what would happen if no contestant made it to the 1% question on the 1% club. Happened this week. They just take the contestant/s who gets the furthest. Which is a bit lame. If they can't answer the 10% question they shouldn't get a go at the 1% question.

The CEO said don't hesitate to come to him for anything that is impeding business. She is impeding business with her behaviour but it would look like whinging IMO. I'm going to have to keep calling her out unfortunately, don't worry I'll update you all with the latest ha ha

That's a massive red flag of narcissistic entitlement. I don't understand the bigger picture here but that doesn't sound promising

She's very entitled to this job. She doesn't appreciate how good she has it, she probably has to work for one hour a day seriously. If she was always contactable but did **** all I really wouldn't care.

Bigger picture is she's nearly 40, unhappy in her relationship, she's realised she'll never have kids and not rapt how her life has turned out. She keeps saying she needs to get paid more, well doing the bare minimum (and even less) won't help.

She could so easily be made redundant, basically all she does is load sales orders, could be done a lot cheaper and more efficiently by someone in our Singapore team, really hope this happens.

I sent out an email about my plans for the end of term rewards activity and asked for feedback. No replies. Can guarantee there will still be at least a couple of people say after the activity, "Why didn't we do this?" or "We should have done that."

Mrs Syd currently trapped in a faulty elevator following her Friday morning gym class.

Rang me in hysterics as they've got to send a Technician to site and after being trapped for 15-minutes they've updated her to an hour wait for the Techie to arrive, then he's got to get her out.

Guess I'll be making my own sandwich for lunch....

Have end of term activities extended beyond putting a video on?

that would be up there with worst nightmare for my partner, they hate elevators

Some teachers may still have a video in their own class. I have to plan a whole school rewards activity for kids who have 90% attendance and good behaviour.

Her father is extremely claustrophobic and won't get into an elevator unless impossible to avoid (even avoids Sydneys road tunnels).

Mrs rang me claiming she couldn't breathe, I'm calling to let you know in case something happens to me etc.

Told her she should sit calmly, that will slow her breathing and to save her phone battery.

Also considering emailing her links to boat sales asking for her opinion on how I should use her life insurance...

Don't say to her if she took the stairs all of this could have been avoided.

That would have been me shit out of luck.
Behaviour possibly would have ruled me out. Not attendance. My mum made us go every day. At our awards ceremony at the end of the year they handed out 100% attendance certificates. My sister, brother and I used to be the only ones to get it.

Apart from the year I wagged school with a friend which my mum found out about by me not getting the certificate that year. :tearsofjoy:

One of my mate's lived a couple of blocks from my high school and both his folks worked. Watching movies there tended to be a better option than trying to understand integral calculus.

The irony of going to the gym but talking the elevator instead of the walkway isn't lost on me, but yes I value my own life too much to say that (out load anyways)
