Harvey Norman crying foul after he's made MILLION$ off the back of ordinary Australians who are trying to make ends meet. His hypocritical attitude shits me.

Screaming kids in supermarkets and coffee shops.

It hit home yesterday that was still school hols when I decided to pop into a coffee shop for a light lunch. It was hot and humid so I went inside to the comfort of the air con but the noise of kids/babies/mothers groups hit me like a Tsunami so I turned around and walked out. Went to another place that was more adult friendly.

Recruitment Agencies and Companies that don't get back to you when you've gone for a job interview.

My feral neighbours with 5 kids next door who live on welfare and get all sorts of benefits, supermarket certificates for one, but somehow the kids have the latest scooters/clothes etc etc. The mother is alleged to be legally blind but I see her walking down the street unaided. The sleazy husband is supposed to be her "carer" huh!! too busy being sprung at the nudist beach on the Island strutting his stuff.

Goff Harvey or whatever his name is, what a w***er. Saying it's going to lead to job cuts, why not give up some of your tens of millions a year instead?

Where was his bleeding heart when he was destroying independent/smaller retail stores over the last 20 years with his bulkbuy prices?

Twat.

This is exactly why I refuse to buy from him.

The arguement the retailers are making against online retailers is so flawed. I don't care if it's not Australian. It's cheap and of equal or better quality than I'm going to get here. So suck it up and start competing.

What is wrong with simply calling someone?

cos you quoted me.

I never said there was anything wrong with calling someone. I generally do.
its those time when people are working and instead of spending 2 minutes on the phone in rfont of your boss not looking pro-active, you can descreetly whip out ya phone, type something quickly and put it away. make it easier in some job rolls compared to others. me im in a trade. so i can call and message whenever im free if i must as long as it dont get in the way of work. its those on the other end i am at the end of the day respectful of who have office jobs or jobs that require not talking but can sneak away for a few secs and send and SMS. i find it no different to those who smoke and always go out every ten mins for a dart to those who dont smoke and dont get a fresh air break.
In relation to what i said though, SMS avoidance is an easy cop out

ted baillieu and his do good but not really attitude.
Girls who show interest and you get on well than go cold shoulder on you and you dont hear from them for ages and dont reply to your texts or calls.

My work getting my pay wrong 3 weeks in a row.

I understand that there's been public holidays, and it makes things confusing, especially seeing as I've worked a mix of contracted and casual shifts.

The public holidays also means there's a delay in pay going in and payslips getting delivered, so I can't even check where it's gone wrong yet. It's not even minor discrepancies either, I'm short about a hundred or so dollars for each week.
I don't need the money urgently or anything, but it's frustrating that I don't get paid for the hours I worked on time, and it's a lot of hassle to chase it up when it really shouldn't be that hard.

Always underpaying as well, I've never been overpaid!

Depends... SMS's are good because the person doesn't have to answer straight away, many people are busy at most times during the day so its far more convenient for them to reply to an SMS when it suits them (but not leave the other person hanging for 24+ hrs!) than answer a call.

Also a group of us are organising going out etc.. its easier to message 8-10 people than call them all.

People who don't have voicemail enabled on their phone. I hate going having to send text messages asking them to call me back. This is particularly annoying when you ring a girl to ask them out.

Although it's not as bad as voice-to-SMS. I ****ing hate that.

I've always seen Harvey Norman as damn expensive anyway.

It's why JB Hi Fi got successful so quickly with fat cats like Sanity/HMV (cds/dvds) and Harvey Norman (electrical) being uncompetitive.

No, this is worse. You record a five second voice message and Telstra translates it into text and SMSs the person's phone.

One of my mates has it, and every single time he has to call me and find out what I was trying to say because it just comes out as garbled nonsense.

I hate voicemail. Costs money to have, costs money to access and quite often costs you money for people to leave a message.

At least you got the desired result of a call returned, not a text saying "Hey, you rang me before, what did you want?"
That definitely shits me. I rang you because I want to speak to you. I will call you upon receiving that text anyway. Just call back! People my age seem adverse to calls.

I do that. Only because I went to a $19 cap to try and save money. And sometimes I really dont feel like talking on the phone. It's like the prank phone call you made when you were 16 so the other person will call back.

People who answer questions about you on Facebook seriously pisses me off... Especially when people who I have hardly ever talked to before say shit about me.

Also f***** mosquito that annoy you when you are trying to go to sleep. Didn't get to sleep till 2 last night.

You live such a tough life.

Realised how ****ing annoying people can be at the shops. I must have had some good luck prior to this, because people never really annoyed me. I bought a 32" tv today and decided to carry it to the car as the shop was pretty close. The TV wasn't too heavy but it was still a bit awkward to carry. I thought people would at least have the decency to try and avoid me, but people would walk straight towards me and expect me to move for them. At first I did move and try to get out of their way, but after a while it got hard with shop stands or slow walkers getting in the way so I soon had enough and if people didn't move for me then they copped a big TV box hip-n-shoulder.

males, who chance there voices to a high pitch one when a girl calls them. they answer for a mate of theres and its "hey mate hows it going" etc etc, something normal along those lines.
Female ca;ls and it always starts with a high pitch "HIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" then finishes with a higher pitched "byyyeeeeeeeee" as like it comes off nicer to talk like that to a female.
