It shits me that Australia is so mediocre now. We didnt take a wicket in over a day. Do you actually enjoy watching a draw happen like that though? I was so bored I almost went shopping instead.
Mitchell Johnson also shits me because he's now the poster boy of Australian cricket which makes it hard to drop him. Do you think he will be there at the end of the summer?
Yeah today was pretty boring to watch, although batting by England was pretty impressive, unbelievable scores from the opening 3, weekend was good viewing though.
Tough call with Jonson, so down in confidence and out of form, but they'll probably stick with him.
I'd say that makes you a unicorn.

A test where a drawn result seems innevitable is usually pretty boring. It was still a good performance though. I was happy when the Aussies didn't collapse.

(not that you said it isn't).FWIW I'm not huge on shopping either, it's great fun at times, but down right boring and pointless at other times. Depends on the company usually. I'd be lying if I said I hated it though.

I hate it when people come into my work & buy a large amount of stuff then ask me for a discount (especially when it's done in a rude tone). Do you ask for a discount when you go to your supermarket & buy $400+ worth of groceries??? No. It's no different at my place of work, I'm not going to give you a discount unless special circumstances require it.

In fact I've probably posted this in one of the previous TTSM threads.
I've had people try to get a discount for items as cheap as $20.
Had one guy ask for a discount and I told that the computer system wouldn't even give me the option to give him the discount. He didn't believe this and made me ask my boss who repeated me perfectly word for word. The guy still didn't believe us and accused us of coming up with a well rehearsed lie.

I think a lot of it comes from losing the whole anonymity thing, which is kinda very comforting when certain things you post could cause massive massive issues in real life if certain people found out.
Also, Canberra is freaking small, theres like a whole 2 degrees of separation, its hard to keep anything secret normally, let alone with an entire online community aware of it...

When you live in the middle of no where with very limited choices to go do your shopping, and your car is ****ed and cant go long distances......
The thing that really shits me though is when your Boyfriend has known that the car has had issues for months on end and now when the car is almost ****ed decides to tell me NOW that the Head gasket has almost shit itself and as a result we cant go anywhere or do anything because the stupid thing will probably blow up....... He told me yesterday he has known about it for 2 months and yet didnt do a bloody thing about it.
The guy has had more than enough money to have this issue fixed but decided to do the moronic thing and waste that money on crap he didnt need and he is now broke.
Then to top it all off he is acting like the damn victim because I have been telling him what I really think and ever since he is sulking like a 6 yr old kid.
I have a right to be angry, Because of his stupidity I now have to shop at a convenience shop and probably spend an extra $100 on the same things I know I could have got alot cheaper somewhere else ie Woolies Supa IGA etc etc and do you think the Prick will pay the difference I'm gonna have to pay for my shopping????? Dont be ****ing stupid!!!!.
I also have to pay someone $100 a week to pick me up and drop me off at work again because of his stupidity.
This whole wouldnt have ever happened if he got the damn problem fixed when he first found out... END OF RANT

Agree with this, I think anonymity is comforting no matter what or how you post. Also though, any girl who saw the Girls of FB thread etc. wouldn't exactly want to be put under the same rating scale as some of those girls, pretty harsh I thought. Don't get me wrong, I thought the thread was funny and some girls do bring it upon themselves (not all of them on there though I'm sure), but I don't want to be subjected to it myself.
How people have all of a sudden adopting frequent use of the term 'nanny state' since that idiot Mark Webber used it. Same thing happened when Howard first referred to something as 'Un-Australian'.
Question Maverick, have you ever gone to a police officer and addressed your immense lack of respect of them? Somehow I doubt it. I'll tell you one thing, I'd respect an honest cop a LOT more than some idiot doing 150kph on the highway or 100kph down a local street.

oh and to add something relevant to this thread - the price hikes of drinks after 12. I am so annoyed! good god, it is already expensive enough to go out... looks like i'll have to up the pre-drinks!
and, christmas, especially the stupid decorations that make work look as though its been hit by a friggin tinsel bomb and the non stop carols playing in all the stores.
