Was the last specialist batsmen we chose in the last 20 years Chris Rogers? Gough . I swear to god I put forward his case with friends for the previous 5- 10 years prior to his selection but it seemed the selectors had a romantic tie to Warner type players. Up there with Elliott for underused players but Rogers more so due to the era.

So frustrating watching the Australian selectors ignore form in favour of picking their favourites.

I got the feeling with Rogers that he might not have fitted in all that well in the Ponting era sides. Elliott needed to learn what happens on tour stays on tour for him to have had a more prosperous career.

Must be a blitz on today or something. Got flashed flipping ages away from the speed camera, so a car in front (single lane road) drops to 10 kms under the speed limit for what felt like an eternity.

Elliott didn't help himself when during his injury break in an interview he said he didn't care if he never played for Australia again, not very bright!!

Warner is a specialist batsman who averages 48 in test cricket.

Are you saying we pick guys with poor technique (we do) or we pick guys because they perform in short form cricket (we do) or we pick guys because they can bowl (we do)?
