i seriously don't remember getting taught roman numerals in school. i know them though... up to a certain extent... C = century, M = millenium, L = 50 (any american football fan should know that).... I think D = 500?

That's pretty good. I was taught in year 6, but I forgot about M, L and D (not sure if they're correct though).
