todays herald-sun, a push for the AFL to have daycare centres at football grounds so patrons can enjoy the football.
ffs, is it so hard for people to get a babysitter for 3-4 hours?
I have 3 kids under 15, we take them to the football. if they get bored, stiff shit, sit there and wait until the games over. they dont annoy other people.
people taking little babies to football also shit me.

You're complaining about this?

Why?

Last week, the 6 year old in front of us got bored (we were two rows from the fence) and just started running around and banging chairs. Stern looks were given to the father until he pulled his kid away.

Telecommunications companies.

Switched my phone to optus in january.

Supposed to get 2 months free.

Get the first bill, no credits. Check the t&c's it will be credited when you get your 3rd bill. Mmmm ok.

Get my 3rd bill, still no credits. Ring them up and the overseas operator jumps through the hoops which results in "I will get in contact with the marketing team and return your call within 5 business days".

I mentioned I would have stayed with my current provider on the same plan without the 2 months free and contacting the telecommunication ombudsman and suddenly the credit is applied immediately

In the overall scheme of things it is not a lot of money but Optus would make a fortune by not automatically applying this to accounts and people forgetting about it after 3 months.

If only other ombudsman had the same fear factor as the telecommunications one. Had my landline go down on the 19th by the 24th was still receiving all sorts of excuses and that it would be fixed by the 27th - mentioned the "O" word and funnily enough it got fixed on the public holiday.

Honestly LOL'd. :D

I dont mind kids being bored at the footy. Its when they are bored in cinemas and running up and down the aisles that ****ing shits me to tears. (And no i dont go to childrens movies- this is adults taking their kids into movies for a more "adult" audience)

Toilets on my floor at work are being renovated - out of action for the next 6 weeks or so. It's shitting me big time because just to have a quick slash I have to catch the lift down multiple floors to the other toilets...such a waste of time and a massive effort.

Thought I'd sprained my ankle after falling really awkwardly, had some time to spare so just elevated it and iced it all week. Went to get an x-ray as a precautionary measure yesterday, turns out it was actually a fractured fibula and fractured ankle. Going to see a specialist on Wednesday but so far it's looking to be in a cast for 4-6 weeks :(

I bet you'll be shitting yourself too at one point or another.

Good. Wouldn't expect anything less.

Not the same kid who only faced the ground so that he could peer over the people's shoulders over about half the row in front of him and scare them shitless?

Saw that a couple of weeks ago about three rows in front. Was an absolute pest and his Dad didn't do shit, even when the people in front were visibly annoyed.

Serial retweeters. I follow a few people who i don't want to unfollow, because their tweets are generally pretty funny, but am sick to death of all the retweets. Hate having my feed filled up with tweets from people i'm not even following, usually for good reason.

The wife complaining about me not putting the toilet seat down after a slash and I argue that it can't be that hard to put the seat down by herself.

But then she will drive my car and move the drivers seat forward and when she's finished will not return the seat to its original position.

When I complain and mention the toilet seat example she reckons its not the same.

You can turn off retweets.

How would one achieve this? Though i'm not 100% sure i'd want all retweets off, since it is a good way to come across some good stuff at times. Just frustrates me when it's not used sparingly.

You customise it for each user you're following. Click on them, then select the silhouette dropdown options box, and click "Turn Off Retweets".

Useful if you have someone who is 90% spam retweets but actually posts the odd bit of good stuff themselves.
