Things that smell delicious but taste yucky

Who uses soap these days? Don't you know it dries your skin? Shower gel is the way to go.

Anyway, I have an example of something that smells yucky but tastes delicious. In Taiwan they have what is called stinky tofu. It sure is stinky but it is yum.

those stupid sented rubbers. i took a bite of the chocolate one and it tasted like shit and spat it out the smelt it again and almost took another bite.

Deodarant...I find some of the smells enchanting but if it accidentally gets sprayed in your mouth you spend the next 5 minutes trying to get rid of the taste.

Actually, Burninglevi, Cucumbers are not that bad. They might taste a little jellowy I must admit but they are great on salads and sandwiches. Something that smells and taste revolting are those brussel sprouts:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:. You just want to aim those things at the bin or in the toilet very quickley. Dispose them-the brussel sprouts- at your own discretion. Do with them what you will.

I love the smell of liver cooking with onions.
Smells so delicious that each time I give it another try, just incase I suddenly like it. The texture is too disgusting to handle though.

Back to cucumbers, I hate the smell but don't mind the taste. Skin has to be on.
And I like brussel sprouts

Now I would understand onions and cucumbers. But brussel sprouts?!?!:confused:

Was it a used one that had been inserted somewhere to give it that taste?

Anyway, for me coffee smells delicious but tastes yucky.

Next time people are in the supermarket or green grocers, grab a punnet of alfalfa, open it an have a sniff. It's very familiar.

the soap you buy that comes in the containor and it comes out of the tap at the top when you push it. i was tired one morning. very very tired you may say. and i was brusing my teeth. i, stupidly/tirely put my toothbrush under the soap tap, put soap on it (unknowingly) and put it in my mouth. not only did that moutfull taste very bad, but the taste was in my mouth for hours and i eventually had to buy a new toothbrush because it wouldn't come off after a few days:thumbsdown:

Not exactly tasting delicous but deodarant smells nice but hate the taste of it when you acidentally spray to much and it goes in your mouth.

I agree it is stinky, but I think the taste pretty much matches the smell!

Just for some variance. I love the smell of like baked apples (apple crumble, pie, etc) but I can't stand the taste.

Used to work across from a bakery who specialised in these apple dishes, what a beautiful smell in the morning.

Yeah me too, people annoy me when they peel the skin off, it's the bit that makes them so yummy and crunchy.

i hate it with the skin off

The thing with cucumbers in Australia is that the skin is really thin when compared to other countires (such as Croatia/Germany/Sweden/Italy) which I think is due to the fact that they are grown in green houses and not out in the land, either way I could be wrong but whatever the reason is the cucumbers in Australia the skin really has no taste and it actually quiet nice. HOWEVER and this is a BIIIIIG however, the skins on the cucumbers in other countries is REALLY THINK!!! and is SOOOOO BITTER!!!! that if you don't take it off your taste bubs get assualted by the tough nitterness that comes from the skin. Therefore you will find that inthese countries that they peel the skin off to make thias not happen. The reason why they take it off in Australia is most likely due to the fact that they come from of have learnt that you peel it off to prevent the bitterness.
