Dunno if it's common but I enail the council as soon as I see graffiti in my street and within a few days they're out there painting it.

Gotta give them credit [emoji122]

Good 👍.

Most council don't do much .

Re councils.

While back just at the start of cats need to stay inside/your yard rule.

Lovely neighbour called for cat trap .
Went to pound to pick her up, fuuuu the way they keep them..👎.
Then the council said If caught again your going to court...WTF no warning no noithing no crime.

Ok try to be proactive and built somewhere so the cats get outside time.
Thought ok since it's no real roof just wire I can go from the house to the fence.
Then the other Lovley neighbour goes you can't do that.
Why? I paid half this fence I'm using my half.
Next day council rings up what your making needs to be a metre from the fence line.
Umm ok ..but everyone else garden shed are on the fence or very close to it.
So had to dig more post holes .

When placing cutlery into dishwasher, group them together so that come unloading time they are scooped up in and with their appropriate group.
Ditto. Every time. The double-spot in the cutlery holder is a bit like the third drawer in the kitchen, in which all the leftover things get thrown in

I do the same on the Snap Send Solve app 🙂. Potholes, a dumped car, broken street sign, water leak in a park, rented bikes not collected - have had good results each time. Easier than emailing too.

Not often I hear people giving councils a good rap, kudos to you

I was thinking about that after I posted that and I thought councils get a bad wrap.

I know my council keeps the area nice n clean and relatively well organised.

I'm sure there's room for improvement but I am constantly seeing "Charles sturt cares about" trucks and vans and whatever all over the place

Bit of money in the area?

Bit of money in the area?
Its a mix - Henley on the beach through to West Lakes and heading into older areas like Rosewater, Pennington and Woodville - which all have or have had a lower economic group coming through

Then the borders of Henley which have some assets maybe tucked away in some baklava and pizza dough

My wife has a prominent role in our council and she reckons people just inherently hate councils. It’s also amazing what ratepayers expect from council.

All they have to do is stick to Rates, Roads and Rubbish and don’t venture into social commentary.

I don't know anything about councils.

Maybe they lazy and abit selfish.
Or hands might be tied with budgets.
Or don't wanna do stuff because once they see councils doing stuff the people turn into mince and ask for a cup of milk with thier cheese.

Our local council was re-elected and he's done stuff all.
