Here’s one baby step in thinking about the asylum seeker issue with a little more nuance:

The Coalition and their barrackers love to bang on about how only they have “stopped the boats”.

But now we learn that under Morrison/Dutton, a whopping 80 “illegals” (to use Dutton’s own BS term) PER DAY are sneaking in by air. Nearly 30,000 a year.

So “stopping the boats” is clearly just so much horseschitt, Morrison/Dutton have not given us “strong borders” at all, and the reality is actually more complex.

Keep sitting on that fence.
