Thoughts on new Crows tv commercial.

I am a little concerned with the fact there was no mention of if we were planning on giving up at any stage this season.

So does that mean we MIGHT give up? Shit I hope not but the fact they just avoided mentioning it altogether.... crap I dunno.

You are right to be concerned. The first draft did say that "we would never give up" but only late in editing someone asked "but what about never ever?"

What a disaster. We might never give up, but it was still uncertain if we would never ever give up.

They had to quickly cut it from the final copy.

I love it. Has two key messages

1- We as a club truly do Fly as One. Players, Admin and Supporters together striving for a common goal.
2- Adelaide is our city and we are the ADELAIDE Crows.


Also love that it showcases some local talent.

That is fantastic. New look Crows are a breath of fresh air.
Had a bit of Harry Potter trailer about it, but that's quite ok. I've been hoping the club would embrace the 'murder' and the crow persona for years.

Yes and No. This was created in house is what I understand, so it costs a lot less money to produce in terms of hiring an outside company, but we have boosted those areas within the club.

Yeah, that's not that hard a story board, a decent director and some animation. You just need to pull it together

The human 'extras' look fairly wooden to me but otherwise it is themed out well. Maybe the music could have been a little more dramatic in support of the last scene above the Adelaide Oval, and the AFC as a CLUB (family & culture)could have been featured as well as the 'crows'. But good.

This is great. Crows marketing that doesn't look like it was made by a bunch of amateurs. I never thought I'd live to see the day.

In any case, I think it is very good. Someone had the guts to approve an approach that is a bit on the arty side, atmospheric rather than overtly manipulative, and definitely non-conventional. Big tick for all those reasons.

Trigg could do arty too you know! He gave us the anthem.
