They've done well this time. I really like the emphasis on the crow, it was well done without being over the top. I've been critical in the past of this stuff, but I'm happy with this.

Port trolls like Rucci and grumpy, old has-beens who barely understand technology such as Cornes aren't our target market with this promo ad.

If they don't like it, that's a good thing.

Is this thread serious who gives a toss about a TV commercial, did you think it will convert some supporters from other teams as ports TV commercial what will it achieve, membership is pretty much saturated the only way for either club to take it to the next level is to be successful which attracts flip flop members

I like it. The imagery is quite nice and ties well into the club identity that has developed since last year. I particularly like how they haven't gone down the normal advertising route of being as loud as possible, for example: loud sound effects, music, announcers, even loud colours. Instead they've gone with something quiet and as a result it stands out from the crowd, and what stands out from the crowd draws more attention.

I hope this doesn't turn into another Doedee thread.;)

Wants someone from here to make a rev up video! They're always the ones to watch. Something to do with the pain of losing Danger, Walsh etc and being able to win through adversity (Dogs game). That would give me chills. Unfortunately I am not adept at making movies really.

That's a good question. You're right, success is the best way up, but that's measured in premierships and even runners up in a grand final are considered failures. A flag is enormously difficult to get and on average occurs every few decades for most teams.

An advertising campaign is much cheaper and easier to do and get right but with lower return. It consolidates current supporters and maybe attracts waverers and kids for not much effort.

Well done ad. Definitely shareable which is important now-a-days.

The only bit of animation I didn't like was the final one with the four people jumping like in a toyota ad :) Pity, as it could have been a real exclamation mark on a very professional video.

I know, Right?

I mean it won't generate the SANFL extra cash via increased attendance at AO so who cares.
