Look, you're entitled to post however you like and good luck to you. But in a discussion about brand messaging, this is a perfect example of how, often, the way you present a message is as or more influential than what the actual message is.

People 'taking you as they see you' on here is all about what and how you write. Apart from the avatar, what else is there? In an online forum, for all intents and purposes, you are what you write.

Like I said, you're free to express yourself how you want. But if that's in mangled sentences and with woeful spelling then, equally, others are free to interpret that accordingly.

Like I say not too fussed about it ,I will try to get it right and if Not I will try again. Too old to worry about life little problems,

Marketing and Brand Management are two of the biggest money and time wasting areas of business I have ever seen. The effing demographics charts and Venn diagrams are self-serving and irrelevant in most cases.

I like that we are looking at our image, and moving towards the murder of crows / fly as one theme ... but let's not pretend that it matters to most people. It's like commenting on the content of a political ad ... those that vote for the party will love it - those that vote for someone else will hate it. Very rarely do the swinging voters use an ad to make up their mind.

We care about our brand not being a joke - that is about all we ask - and I think that we are ahead of the likes of Richmond ...

I think both the Crows and Richmond commercial or advertisemnt is great, Advertising is there to catch peoples attention whether it annoys the F#### out of you or is just appealing. How many remember the most annoying adds on TV like cunninghams warehouse, there is some dude (Frank) on the radio advertsing Tiles and it annoys the crap out of me, but I remember it!

Well done to both advertising companies, and Rucci is just adding fuel to their success by making a song and dance about it, it is definetly getting the desired attention they deserve

Don't worry about it AV, it's an online footy forum not a spelling, punctuation and grammar test.
WHAT? I'll effing grammar nazi anyone who uses 'of' instead of 'have'...for the millionth time, and leaves out apostrophes.

Why should I have to decipher every effing post I read before any of it make sense.

Typos art clearlu typos when you hit a wrnog key closw ti the key you actually wantes to hit, or you type so fast your figners get tangled and words like 'the' become 'teh', but misusing words like 'their' and 'there' is effing unforgivable you numpties.

What is Rucci's problem with ours?

Don't sugarcoat it. Tell 'em what you really think.

You don't think the expression is a bit insensitive?

It's unfortunate that a flock of crows is known as a murder. I spent much time last year changing ordinary football terms that I'd typed like 'cut through', 'sliced us up' etc but a time comes, even in the most tragic of circumstances, where life returns to the norm. I'm not sure what I'd think if the club actively started using the term, but I don't think we need to be so sensitive about it. I may be in the minority though.

Context.

That you feel the need to guilt trip people into not saying acceptable phrases with the death of Phil Walsh is gross. Don't do that. Seriously. You're just causing outrage for no reason.

Correct.

This is the context it should not be used in. Anything to do with the AFC; the context is "murder of crows" is the wrong context.

If you were discussing the actual bird, a crow. The murder of crows would be the correct context but yes; all I'm trying to do is guilt people.

Please.

Anyone see some similarities between the commercial and this suggestion (part of a longer match day intro message) I sent through to Fages back in 2014?

The player entrance at the start of the game begins with a video on the large screen. The video is of a Crow flying over Adelaide, which changes to a Crow point of view as they fly. As the Crow continues across the landmarks of Adelaide, more and more Crows join the group flying. Loud squawks are heard. The Crows reach St. Peter’s Cathedral and as they fly past, the first bell sound is heard – the bird flies towards Adelaide Oval where thousands of birds are flocking towards the oval.

I'm awaiting my royalties....

No one suggested it should be in our marketing campaign. The association with our late coach is one you made. No one else.

Stop trying to create trouble. It's tiring to see you paint every thread with your bullshit.

Oops.

Directing an image towards something isn't part of a marketing strategy or campaign?

Looks like I made this up as well.

Oh well. Back to making my next occupation up to impress no nonsense posters like you.

This please, no, a certain group of posters are full of it.

If you honestly believe "Murder of Crows" is an appropriate term to be used in conjunction with the Adelaide Crows - you should ask if you are emotionally connected toi the club or what it went through last year.
