At this point in time yes, they would give us a hiding. As much as the US team, and country, is a place of poor individuals bar a few, nothing will come close to what I saw from our boys last night. I do also apologise to Vick, and hope he/she takes this in a good way not the over the top bad winner way.
Until such time as our national team plays just as that, a team, and gets a real manager the US national side will win every time.

If they played with arrogance we did, and we got back some humility we could beat them.
From performances since WC06, No.
This rabble doesnt deserve to be compared to other countries, with the rubbish i saw last night i think a few top end A league clubs could knock them off.
Didn't you see their U19's beat Brazil (with Plato) last week? It's possible Australia will never have a better XI than the US anymore in the future.

I dont think you got me, I meant poor individuals in terms of people, not footballing ability.
No apology necessary. It's all in good fun. We love our countries and our teams, and sometimes it causes us to say things we wouldn't say face to face in a bar enjoying a beer watching sports.
As I said in my other post, we have all learned some hard truths about our squads in the last 12 months. Some good, some bad. We move on and hope for a miracle for the Roos on monday. I still want to see them at the Confederations Cup. It may be the only chance our squads would have to play each other in the next three years. But either way, Australia has a special place in my heart from living there, and in all the ways I was hoping for a humbling, I also want them to win. Let's get back on track Monday! Go Roos!
In other news I was really impressed by our U-20 boys showing in the U-20 WC. Tough loss in extra time to Austria. But I think it shows some real progress for the future. And hopefully the USMNT will FINALLY have a true striker in Jozy Altidore, and not depending on true midfielders to fill that void.
