I'm sorry ... but WHO?

Adelaide has a very capable back six, perhaps the best back six combination in the competition (at least when Bock is in). I think even Fev, who is admittedly a very good forward, has scored more than a couple on Rutten only once.

I can imagine Adelaide generating an enormous amount of run and drive out of their back six this weekend.

These players have all done shut down jobs successfully. Russell most recently on Steve Johnson & Joseph has claimed several high profile scalps this season. I'm sorry if you don't get exposed to anything but the Crows in your 'neck of the woods', but there are other players out there who are capable of getting the job done when necessary.

It does surprise me that given Adelaide apparently have "perhaps the best back six combination in the competition" they would not have already secured a home final, but instead are going to be battling Carlton for the right to host a home final. Perhaps some people are a little bit guilty of overrating their teams, or at least some of their players. One thing I do know is that Neil Craig would be totally aware of all Carlton players who will come under consideration for our 22 this week & won't underestimate any of them like you have in your little rant.

StKild awho have 300 less points scored against might just trump you there....

Those player who you called WHO, i'm glad you'll know and never forget WHO they are after Saturday :D

Adelaide are a young-ish side who make plenty of mistakes, but the back six is very solid. It is arguably as solid as the Saint's backline because it has to endure a lot more pressure ... the Saints are pretty tight all over the field and they don't let nearly as much ball leak into their backlines in the first place. Tremendous side at generating pressure all over the field are the Saints.

Isn't Steve Johnson a forward? Are the Blues going to stack their forward-line with "successful shut-down players" this week? I can really see the Blues compiling a huge score from that structure ... NOT!

The Blues may enjoy a lot of hype in Melbourne, but just getting hype from the Melbourne media doesn't mean that this bunch of Blues second-stringers is going to be able to stop a very capable back six of the Crows from generating a heap of drive and run.

I doubt you'll see Judd showing any sort of leadership at any time

Coming from a Collingwood supporter that's funny - a club with a captain that takes cheap shots and then complains when other teams do the same thing. Them tough words Nicko.

Anyway, Judd's name has already been engraved in the AA team and it says Captain as well.

Continue to maintain the ignorance. We can only hope Neil Craig is as ignorant of clubs from other states as you are. As I have said previously, I know he isn't, that is why he is coaching an AFL club while you try & sound clever on an internet forum. It is fortunate that I know enough South Australians to know that they don't all suffer the tunnel vision which you are afflicted with.

FWIW, I am still having trouble understanding why it is that the "very capable back six of the Crows" has yet to secure a home final & will be competing against a supposed "bunch of Blues second-stringers" for a home final. You can only assume that those "second-stringers" have been underestimated by more than just you.

It is interesting that you obviously have no idea whatsoever who the Crows players are and how they might perform, no clue as to what the Crows strengths might be and what are their weaknesses that have resulted in them not being good enough for the top 4 ... yet it is you alone who is trying to browbeat any opposing argument by calling other posters "ignorant".

Laughable really ... but at least you are honest enough to admit that you are having trouble understanding.

Let me give you a hint ... the Crows main weakness this year is described by a football term that starts with "r" and ends with "uck".

That should be a big enough hint for even you.

SEN just reporting that Cloke, Garlett and Betts have been suspended by Carlton. This will be interesting.

Betts and Garlett are huge outs for the Blues going into finals.
Garlett a Huge out, you really got to be kidding me, What has he done, 1 good game last week and all of a sudden he is an integral part of the team. How many games has the guy played this season, probably count them on one hand, your hilarious mate.

I'm not sure this doesn't help Carlton more than it hurts them, even in the short term. Two fringe players and a third (Betts, who was under an injury cloud anyway) are gone but the rest of the list gets a big kick up the arse on the eve of an important match. If anything it ensures the 22 who take the field on Saturday will be well and truly switched on.

I reckon it is a ploy by Carlton to avoid playing Essendon first up..

If we wanted to do that, we'd rest someone more important than those three. And you're assuming Essendon will even win against the Hawks.

Why should we be scared of you? If you do manage to win, you're going to limp into the finals - H&A record means nothing. All good that did for Collingwood against the Saints last year...

I guess last week was a good indication of the two respective club's back 6. Carlton playing lowly Melbourne had 15-6 kicked against them, while Adelaide playing lowly West Coast had 7-6 kicked against them.

Good to see the professionalism they were counting on Judd passing on to his team mates has taken hold :thumbsu:

Its called " headline grabbing " and trying to get the players fired up before the finals .

Players were always going to be RESTED

Good point. Not as newsworthy as some guy called Alan riding around in a car with bikie who is firing random shots with a gun and forgets to report the incident and the guy when he's named as the suspect in a murder. Now that's newsworthy Eddie!

You seem to be missing the point (no surprise there). Unquestionably, Didak's behaviour far worse. But at least he and Shaw were suspended for 4 weeks of the H/A AND 2 finals. So not only was the punishment far more severe but the quality of players far, far greater.

Shaw + Didak >>>>>> Betts and 2 spuds.

Rattan is only tough when disciplining the fringe players.
