Find it and post it or it didn't happen. That's what I was told about the Chris Dawes interview in which he said he had been asked to move on. Given that Broomhead was selected with the pick 20 we got for Dawes, it seems reasonable to expect his admirers to produce evidence of this legendary feat.:p
1.40 mark

I remember in the Hawthorn game last year he snapped a beautiful goal off the pack from about 45 metres out from goal.I remember thinking at the time that he's probably the only player on our list who could kick that type of crumbing goal.So I think he needs to be preserved with.He just needs a better run with injuries and to string five or six games in a row in the seniors to prove his worth.
Remember that! Bloody good.

He did get a rising star award last year. Not sure if Dawes ever got one...
Dawes was a premiership player and a good one. He may not have done anything else of note in his career but he will be remembered for his contribution on that day. In any case, I was not comparing the two players, merely saying that the same standards should be applied to the supporters of both players.

Had really high hopes for Broomhead, but as a 4th year player his career is at the crossroads.

Shows plenty of glimpses of potential, but in pretty much every AFL he plays in he simply vanishes off the face of the earth for a half at a time, and up until late in the 4th quarter had a total of 4 disposals for the match... Add to that a measly ONE tackle and you have to question where he is at mentally.

Is he going to make it? 2016 really should be the year he announces himself and becomes a consistent best 22 player. He isn't a kid anymore, had 4 years on the list... Time to step up Broomy or you might find it's too late.

He's progress has been interrupted by injury unfortunately but i still think he can be a very handy AFL footballer.

It was a poor selection bringing him in this week off a poor VFL game to play in Perth. He'd have been better for the run if he had played against the Dons in all honesty.

Still, massive concerns over his leg speed. Lack there of is fine but youd wanna have a huge tank if youre lacking in that area.

It seemed odd that he came in off a quiet game in the VFL rather than his previous auspicious one, but really it probably didn't make a difference. Disappointing.

There isn't a single line of text anywhere on Bigfooty that is necessary.

What do you think Bucks is telling him right now? "Great effort Tim, have a sticker!"

His ears are probably still ringing

It's a bit of a 'look at me' thread title.

Had a poor season in 2015, hasn't started this one well.

Does he keep his spot for next week?

It will depend upon who is available. If Adams and Varcoe are fit he may get dropped.

Title of the thread should be changed. Unnecessary.
Got to disagree. He was invisible and is a seriously soft player who was a left field selection at 20. I believe he is now providing evidence of why he was not anticipated to be drafted in the top 20. He kicked 2 goals from 4 disposals but was certainly invisible for the vast majority of the game. In Hine many trust but I do not. Sier will be an equally uninspiring early selection.

Time for a clean out of the coaching and recruiting department because we have stuffed up a number of picks in the last 5 years. Broomhead does not give the appearance of someone likely to lead us into premiership territory in the coming years. If the only skill required for success was kicking ability he might make the grade but he looks physically incapable of matching it with the best or even 2nd best at AFL level. Perhaps we should have traded him and not Kennedy to Melbourne, because the latter seems a more rounded player at this point in time.

It's a harsh assessment IMO. Broomhead has had to deal with a fair amount of injury. I believe he has the class to make it and is worth persisting with a little longer.

Yet another player who has had to deal with a fair amount of injury. We have more than our fair share of such players.

Seems to be a common theme. A few times over the last few years blokes have come in after playing a few weeks of great games followed by a average game in the VFL then getting a call up.

IMO he just needs to get games in and get his confidence up. Was playing good football middle of last year until he injured. Need some of these 1st and 2nd round picks from the last 3 or 4 years to start getting games in to them before it stunts there development. History shows players who don't play much over the first 5 years (whether due to injury or form) fail to ever come up.
