The main thing that has changed is the $$$. At 500k WCE could make that happen. Clearly that has now significantly changed. Does anybody seriously think WCE have 800k in their cap? Everybody loves home but Nobody is going to play for that far unders. That to me this is the only way Freo have come into the picture. If TK wants to go home and get 850k for 4 or 5 then it will be at one club.

On a side note it is refreshing to jump on here and not hear the nauseating talk on how Sheed & Redden & Masten and co are so better players

West Coast and Fremantle generally don’t cut each other’s lunch.

Geelong won’t be able to leverage a higher price.
Yeah seems to be the case of late, that said at this stage there hasn’t really been a player both have really wanted coming back .
(Bit different with McGovern as he was already at WC)
We ll definitely inquire about Kelly both from a needs perspective and the bell factor.
That said I’m still not totally sold on him.
Primarily due to his attitude and dumb as dog**** manger for starters plus his likely cost both Monterey and particulary at the trade table .

Unfortunately He just doesn’t have the body of work behind him yet to justify the likely asking prices.
(Note not that I don’t thinks he’s worth a top 10 pick and decent wage just personally I’d still be bit apprehensive about it)

Would like Kelly at WCE but if not so be it ... Kelly completed his Electrical Apprenticeship before he was drafted so he can cash in on his footy if he wants , but tradies make $$$$ in WA so Kelly is in a real good position right now , could even win a flag this year and retire .
No one really knows !!

Will cost WC an absolute packet at this stage
If they thought the price was too high last year , can’t wait to see what they think of this year’s trade price
Be such a stronger side if they had him as well. Would be their best midfielder

Looks to be increasing in value by the week. Geelong did the right thing holding him to contract last year. Might assist in winning them a flag as well as increase compo received now. Guess you could argue he was contracted last year but his form is way better now. Turn over merchant last year but seems to have almost completely removed that from his game this year.

Geelong going to have to pay for him
Have we now gone the full circle. From Cats fans saying wce will have to pay to get him to Wce fans saying the cats will have to pay to keep him.

He's a 24 year old midfield star. Fair to say that whoever he plays for will have to pay, but he's awesome and worth it.

Yer. Kelly will walk away from a $800k-$1m a year salary for 4-5 years to jerk wires on a building site and get paid $150k instead.

Trade cost should be around the same as Dangerfield. Min 2 firsts with something else going to Eagles.

Make the deal and move onwards and upwards.

Freo do have pieces should Kelly be desperate to move back West. Cerra and Brayshaw would be a good starting point.
