Why has no one said sydney has the best list management in the league? If kurt comes and we dont give not much up, so be it to everyone else.at the end of the day this will be the best trade ever( aftrer jpk )

What about this....

Swan get: Tippet
Crows get: Pick 11 + White
Blues get: Parker + Pick 22

Blues lose pick 11
Swans lose Parker, 22 and White
Crows lose Tippet

If the Swans are trying to use us as a middle man I dare say they'll have to give us a pretty convincing deal such as that to make us interested.

Parker, 22 and White might seem like a lot. But really, White is useless and probably won't play another game at the Swans. Parker is a talented kid and 22 a speculative late pick. I don't think that's too much to give up when the Swans rate Tippet highly enough to pay him the best part of $1m a year.
It's like a Roy Orbison song...

In dreams...

The thing is, we're in this situation by choice and can get out of it anytime we want. You are losing one way or another.

Enjoying your club needlessly dragging this on for another week and then accepting a pick on Friday.

we'll see, pal. enjoy your premiership - it'll be the last one you win for a bloody long time.

Can i reply with, i hope you enjoyed your free ride to the Prelim because of your easy fixture? Enjoy not making the finals next year?

What a weird thing to say. How did you come to that conclusion?

Neil Cordy thinks he's a 500k player, not an 800k player. I tend to agree. I think Sydney is paying way too much for him. And the jury is still out on how this will effect the rest of the playing group at the Swans.

IMO the only winner out of the Tippett trade to Sydney (assuming it happens) will be Tippett himself.

Go on...take the weekend off, you;ve all earnt it:confused:. Actually take next week off too, whynot hey.

Here's one way this stupidly exaggerated pebble throwing exercise over a simple and normal trade could pan out.

1. We find out that Pick 22 + White was never actually the deal being discussed in private...just crap in the media and what they got fed.
2. We find out there has been more than one similar offer for dear Kurt. Kurt just thinks his chances of a flag as part of the deal are better with Sydney right now.
3. Another club suddenly steps up early next week out of the blue.
4. Sheedy threatens to take Tippett ahead of Sydney in draft, even though he hasnt even done a fitness test on a bloke thats had 3 concussions last season. Press knows its therefore crap but run with it anyway.
5. Adelaide fans love Kevin for 3 days before realising its just the alzheimers talking.
6. Trade goes thru, Tippett to Sydney, Adelaide fans surprised they got more than all the crap argued about in here and media.
7. Adelaide fans try to say its some sort of victory, rather than simply thanking Sydney for not shafting them when they could have.

Just on GWS not having done a fitness test, is that relevant given Sydney must have to be offering such a good deal?

Why is there this undertone of hoping Tippett suffers another concussion so Adelaide don't lose too badly on the trade? It's disturbing.

Don't think anyone is hoping it but its certainly one of the reasons losing him isn't considered an absolute loss. That aspect is actually a bit of a relief considering one more decent one will probably spell curtains together with the kind of money he was demanding and length of contract to be paid out should that risk eventuate. Wouldn't wish it on him at all but it worried the beshizzles out of me when we were offering him 5 years at 800k. He just lacks that awareness/self-preservation of a natural footballer around hard contests, perhaps due to his basketball background I guess

Firstly noone truly knows exactly how "good" the deal is. Secondly even if it's a hundred million a year we might have a clause in it regarding concussions. Thirdly even if we don't it seems silly to blindly trust another clubs judgement.

So GWS would essentially be going "we THINK that Sydney MAYBE is giving Tippett a lot of money and it may or may not have injury related clauses in it so we think it's completely safe to dive in head first after him because their judgment couldn't possibly be wrong".

Also if GWS do take him it'll be fun watching him delay Cameron and Pattons development so it's all good.
