Nice article from Nick Bowen

I havent been on the sight much of late so perhaps I am repeating other peoples thoughts.
I read this article and it has some interesting points. But to me it still missing one very important point. Tippett was to be punished for his part in what was a stuff up by Adelaide. He was fined $50,000 plus 11 matches. The AFL did their part. However the Swans have agreed to pay Tippett his full annual salary for only playing 11 games. So how is Tippett's punishment justified.
Why doesn't he lose half his salary? If he had then the Giants may have picked him.
Why can Sydney afford to "waste"so much money?
Why is Sydney allowed to effectively bypass the impact on Tippett of losing 11 games.
I have no sympathy for Trigg but at least his current punishment actually hits his pocket. He can not earn any funds from Football for 6 months....so his penalty is effective. Tippetts penalty is in no way effective and I believe the AFL should step in and stop Tippett from enjoying half of his full years salary. Sydney should also be investigated for acting in a manner that makes the AFL's punishment ineffective. Sydney should also lose its COL allowance as they have in no way supported the AFL's intended punishment.
Or am I the only one that thinks like this.
