He didn't overstep the mark? Normally respect what youve got to say but how are the following comments about supporting Sydney and not having a go at Adelaide posters and our club?I'm not about to start carding Sydney posters simply for supporting Sydney. bobbobbert was skirting the line without stepping over it. We tolerated it for a while, then asked him to move on.
Other posters have found themselves with infractions for stepping over the line.
There hasn't been a "lenient approach". The influx of Sydney posters has come because they can now laugh about having picked up Kurt Tippett for a PSD pick. Seems a bit wanky but as long as they're not assholes about it they're within their rights to post.
Many will be left grappling with a simple question: how can a player who entered into an 'illegal' side agreement designed to ensure a smooth passage to his club of choice ultimately get to that club?
South Australians would have copped this more readily if Tippett had gone back home to Queensland, via the Brisbane Lions or Gold Coast - the outcome the side agreement was designed to achieve.
But many will now see him as a money-hungry mercenary rather than a homesick 25-year-old, despite Tippett's protestations that he has family in Sydney too.
You suspect there will be no shortage of neutral supporters who feel the same way.
There has been growing angst among clubs outside Sydney that the Swans and Giants get a cost-of-living allowance that allows them to spend almost $900,000 on top of the standard salary cap. To the critics, Tippett becomes the personification of how advantageous that concession is.
Remember, we're talking about the reigning premiers. That they have almost $1 million extra to spend in their salary cap is a small part of the Tippett story but a club coming off a premiership is expected to battle to keep its list together, not out-bid all-comers for one of the competition's elite big men.
New Swan Kurt Tippett says he feels at home in Sydney
The fact he will be paid the most when he is able to provide the least could stretch his team mates patience by the end of the year.
I dont think they will be willing to give him too much slack once he is back in the league side. He would be expected to provide value from day one. Otherwise there may be some very unhappy campers if a premiership player must make way for his Highness to only see him play like he did against the Swans in our first final.
Tippet must come out firing from round 12 or find himself becoming the Sydney Medias next Folau. They would love the opportunity to bag him and the Swans -with good reason- if he does not live up to expectations.
He'll find the Sydney media are a step up from what he is used to and may soon long for the good old days in Adelaide with its "fishbowl environment".

Your response is about what Tippett needs to do and I agree with it. My comment is about three things:
Why the AFL has not intervened to stop Tippett avoiding his punishment is beyound me. Why the AFL has not cited the Swans about helping Tippett avoid his punishment. If Tippett was to get $800K for his first year thats OK. Given he cam only play half the season Tippett should have been required to nominate his Salary as only $400K for 2013.
- The Swans ability to pay over the top because they have an extra $900K that they shouldn't have.
- The Swans actions that are in direct conflict with the AFL punishment.
- The fact that Tippett is not really getting punished. How can missing games and still get FULL pay be considered punishment.
Many have mentioned that the AFL will bend over backwards to help Sydney...or help the clubs in NSW to break into that market. But it should not be at the detriment to the other clubs.
We say we want the AFC board to come out and be open and honest. We wont get it. We also want the AFL to come out and be open and honest and treat all the clubs fairly. We wont get it.
whinge whinge whinge... what should/could of been... we won the premiership and you lost your dignity... you're an absolute joke...

We all need to realise that its very cool to be a Swans supporter at the moment. They just won the premiership and just inherited our highest paid player for nothing. Its not unreasonable to expect a sudden blip in support for the Swans. League fans and Bum Sniffers are clearly flocking to AFL and have become overnight experts.
Adelaide supporters just need to be patient. Sydney supporters will disappear just as quickly as they emerged, Tippett will continue to be a very erratic footballer, the remainder of Sydney fans will begin to hate him as they realise he is not worth the money, Sydney players will be targeted by other clubs because they are not earning what they could elsewhere. The frustrating bit is, that Adelaide will move on, we are an enormous chance of a premiership in the next few years and the same flogs we have had to endure for the last 2 months will be nowhere to be seen.
My understanding is that his nominated contract was something like $800k y1, $400k y2, with the intention of preventing rival clubs to bid on him because they didnt have the spare $800k in the 2013 salary cap, so his pocket is hit in 2014 instead of 2013.I read this article and it has some interesting points. But to me it still missing one very important point. Tippett was to be punished for his part in what was a stuff up by Adelaide. He was fined $50,000 plus 11 matches. The AFL did their part. However the Swans have agreed to pay Tippett his full annual salary for only playing 11 games. So how is Tippett's punishment justified.
Why doesn't he lose half his salary? If he had then the Giants may have picked him.
Why can Sydney afford to "waste"so much money?
Why is Sydney allowed to effectively bypass the impact on Tippett of losing 11 games.
Ive always been of the opinion that the Adelaide board is for talking about Adelaide and have welcomed any and all posters, and there have been several sydney supporters discuss this issue in a respectful way. some have not.I know that you guys arent fond of swans supporters at current but i am wondering when the tshirts will be ready?
I think think your definition of what constitutes arseh*le gloating is different to mineI'm not about to start carding Sydney posters simply for supporting Sydney. bobbobbert was skirting the line without stepping over it. We tolerated it for a while, then asked him to move on.

Yep because putting up with Sydney trolls makes you such a good sport, that's just weirdDont ban him. Seriously we don't need to be such bad sports. Every dog has its day.

yes he can, he is on the Adelaide Board, we are so desperate to be thought of as open and inclusive we don't ban trolls.you cant say that dude....
I think you take Big Footy way too seriously. You cant handle a bit of banter from an over hyped supporter from another club? At the end of the day much of what bobbobbert said was pretty close the mark. What is weird, is people that claim to be grown adults needing moderators to shield them from what in many cases is harsh reality. If you are going to hand it out when things are going well you need to take it when the shit hits the fan.Yep because putting up with Sydney trolls makes you such a good sport, that's just weird

For such a 'tough guy' Elite Crow, you are very quick to seek the protection of the mods when things aren't going your way.
Shoosh you bad sportI don't think it is about moderators and being shielded.
it is about consistency and also the fact that if I wanted to read people givng the Crows shit I could simply go to bay 13 rather than read the exact same kind of comment here.
