Brisbane have always been in a position where they could offer us something decent for Tippett, thats not the problem.....

Tippett doesnt want a bar of it and he will get to Sydney any way he can guys. We can threaten with GC and GWS all we want, but I am keeping my feet on the ground and still under the impression that nothing has changed. Its Sydneys pick + White at best right now. :(

Would this work

Adelaide lose Tppett, 21, McKernan
Adelaide Gain pick 11, 23, 36,56
Sydney lose Parker, 23
Sydney Gain Tippett
Carlton lose 11,36,56
Carlton gain parker, McKernan 21
The biggest problem with that is that Sydney seem adamant that Parker isn't going anywhere. Adelaide don't seem keen on trading McKernan either, though I think there would be a mixed reaction from the fans should such a trade eventuate (few players polarise opinions the way McKernan does). Adelaide wouldn't have any use for pick #56 either - we have 2 list vacancies now, 3 if McKernan were to go as well.

any possibilty that s mckernan from crows could find a new home, a lot of talk that that could happen.

yes, think he's time is up at the Crows...might be given one more year with Tippett's exit but Jenkins seems to have gone past him... Jenkins does better in the ruck and is arguably a better forward.

If Brissy have the money and the nuts, they can absolutely snooker Tippett. They can tell Bluched he either comes now quietly and we will get it done with Adelaide, or we will get him in the draft.

If he goes well and good. If not Brissy do us a favourable on Polec anyway and we lock out Sydney so Tippett goes to the draft.

In this scenario both Sydney and Tippett lose complete control. If Brissy do this in good faith then I would suggest we could not then use that to bargain up Sydney. We agree to support Brissy on the understanding that one way or another we get Polec....in doing this Syd are out and regardless of what kurt wants or does not want...he's playing for Brisbane next year.

You would definitely trade McKernan at the right price. Having said that you wouldn't give him away for a laugh ala Chris Knights.

Best to ignore that. It's just random people from the Herald Suns opinion. Besides you know they dont know what they're talking about when they say Jenkins does better in the ruck.

If Tippett got told that, why would he agree to a trade? The only difference between going in the drat, or accepting a trade, in that situation, is how much it helps the Crows. If the Lions would take him either way, why help you guys out considering how he's been smashed in the media by you and you would have conspired to stop him getting to where he wants to go?

It's not just the Adelaide media which has been questioning Tippett's motives and process. Cam Mooney said yesterday that Tippett's actions had "destroyed his brand". If he wants to salvage any respect from the football community, he needs to think this through and burn as few bridges as possible

For instance
this just said...
"How is a 3rd club going to help the Tippett deal if Sydney aren't prepared to give anything up? "

"surely one of them will blink come 12pm on Friday.. a premiership player would have to be in the deal i reckon."

But I would take that with a grain of salt.

Wont matter what he says and he does not need to help this process. We do a deal with Brissy to get a favourable deal Polec. That woukd be the price Brissy pays for us locking you out.

Would cost us something to make it past the AFL but it would be significant unders. Lions could argue he is homesick and getting what they can for him...sound familiar?

In any event it would be better than the slop you are offering and it would humiliate both you and Tippett.

Given the history that would now exist of the Crows going back on verbal agreements, what's to stop the Lions from screwing you over, and refusing to trade Polec for unders? Why would they feel guilty about breaking a handshake deal with a club that has shown it will not keep to handshake deals?

We're not getting that.

If we could get Polec and their second rounder then run like hell. Geez if it came down to Polec/crapping on kurts plans/not strengthening premiership threat v 23/white/seeing Kurt smile/strengthening Swans....

Just give me Polec and lets all go home
Why not? Last year they said no to pick 8 + Polec. This year we're throwing in pick #20. That could well be enough to get this deal across the line.

We would be crazy to trade Smack now. I am probably his harshest critic but now we have lost Tippett we must give him a year with good support to see what he can do. He is worth more to us than a late first round pick now.

With a handshake agreement both parties have to stick to their side of the agreement in this case one side walked away from their side before the other............ I'll let you guess who walked away from theirs first ;)

Simple. This is based on Brissy obviously wanting him. If they dont cough up something decent we can just stick with your offer so he does not go to the draft and they miss out.

Brisbane, with our help , have him snookered. Just a matter of whether they have the nuts for it
