It's arrogant to deny Sydney's south Melbourne bloods heritage.:thumbsu:

I eat away at the fabric of our club? you have no idea what i do for this club! And excuse me for defending a friend in his darkest hour. Jesus I must be a shit person.

Of cause not Jenny, but sometime loyalty - as admiralbe as it is and you are - may ultimately be blinding.

oh i know, i just wouldnt put it past them to ban us from it specifically.
That wouldn't fit the crime IMO ......given the REAL lack of benefit and intention ......really can't see us losing Tippetts picks plus pick 20

could be wrong though ......how do you really know the message the AFL wants to send PLUS how this will be benchmarked against Melbourne's penalty which was deliberate ;)

Is there a positive out there?

Think we will only hear worse news and Monday we will get a big kick to the balls

Maybe not...

"The Crows are keen to tell their story, believing it differs greatly from that of the Tippett camp. With Adelaide under AFL investigation and still to finalise its case, Chapman was guarded with what he could say."

Apologies if this has been posted before.

I have this little guy on my shoulder telling me not to post this, just keep it to yourself, mark my words no good will come of it.....I know posters will jump all over me but here goes.

Over the last 6 years we saw Tippett as a gift to fill the post Modra void. We became obsessed with keeping him and we 'sold our souls' to stop GWS et al from getting him - yet in the meanwhile Brock and Phil ? were whisked away from us. So we were a little misplaced in our efforts here because all the while Tippett wanted to go 'home'. We promised him a smooth exit and succeeded in having him stay by filling his palm up with lovely bank notes etc. We probably spoke to him appealing to his sense of loyalty coupled with the opportunity of a forseeable grand final window. Time passed and he still wanted out. But we had painted ourselves into a corner. OK he switched the 'go home' proviso for Sydney, premiership team, good money, good lifestyle and we must accept he was always going. But we are the ones who sold our souls, by offering more and more, and its a moot point as to whether he held us to ransom over those years? Guess there is an argument for that, but delusion and misdirected anger aside, we basically have inflicted the whole sorry mess upon ourselves in the desperate attempts to retain a genuine 'rare beast' ("one of only 12 in the world") key forward. I know he has changed his ultimate destination which has made it more difficult for the AFC, but maybe he is not totally the dark villian in the black cloak!

What I am saying here is that while Tippett, father and Bloucher are the objects of our vitriol, most of what has befallen us is of our own doing. We (AFC) were/are the big players in this saga and Tippett was really only a pawn. So how did we go so wrong? Desperation breeds strange behaviour.
Well said skooby.

I notice no one is commenting on your post because it does not fit with the theme here.

It's tippets fault, no it's his managers fault or was it his dads.

Everything that happened was in our power to control or change. It was of our doing. We will be able to move forward when we finally stop blaming others. Our situation has nothing to do with Tippett. It is of our making no one else's.

Tippett's situation is of his making and for that he should also face the music.

The two are separate issues.

We haven't got any father son picks coming up in the next couple of years we could lose have we? :(

I don't think the AFL would remove us from the National Drafts completely. If we did have a highly rated F/S prospect that was likely to attract a high pick, we'd still only need to bid our first pick, even if it is in the 60's. At least I think that's how the bidding system works.
