Except that your first post was in response to someone being critical of the Fitzroy heritage Guernsey.

The Fitzroy heritage jumper with the white or gold FFC logo shouldn't be used, except for heritage matches. The inference was that even with a BFC logo the jumper was not reflective of the Brisbane Bears. I disagree with that.

My preference has always been for the original style of the Brisbane Lions Guernsey. That one I believe is adequate representation including the simple BBFFC on the back, maroon blue and gold.

Agree totally. The 1997-2008 guernsey is more than adequate representation. The red Victorian jumper for Victorian matches only is also a nod to the current Fitzroy identity in Melbourne. But should only be used in Melbourne only.

I don't subscribe to your inference that home games/ground are unfairly skewed,

They are IF the guernsey is re-designed to reflect more of a Bears identity. The Lions holding to the terms of the merger agreement is generally enough for me. Although I do believe they could be doing more in Melbourne. That's another issue though.

The point is, that was never suggested.

One of the parts I disagreed with (and hence my original comments) was:

"Just to elaborate, the colours bare no resemblance to the Bears (bahaha see what I did there..), the insignia is the Fitzroy Lion, changing the monogram to BBFC is not a major representation when the Bears colours and insignia is gone."

To me that seems to be calling for greater Bears representation in the jumper.

Um well apologises, no intention to derail the thread. Simply meant I didn't want the Fitzroy heritage guernsey pictured as our everyday guernsey. Apologies if anyone is offended by that.

OUR history was on show from OUR first game and was proudly displayed during those great days at the end of September from 01-04. That is OUR clubs historic jumper - go back to that. We don't need any Bears or Fitzroy historic jumpers or have to play in different jumpers depending on the location. One jumper - one club!

We have had some absolutely ripping days with Heritage guernsies though. Two that come immediately to mind was the thrashing of Collingwood at the G the first time we wore the Fitzroy one and the big upset against West Coast wearing the more recent Fitzroy jumper.

And the big win against the Dogs in Melbourne in 2012 (the "old" Fitzroy jumper):thumbsu:

All clubs pull a "heritage" jumper out of the drawer at least once a year so I have no problem with the concept at all.

Anyone received the survey in the mail as yet? OR is it just me who hasn't received it?

Given the website says this, they are cutting a tight timeline:
Members will have until Friday, 4 October, 2013 to complete the survey. Results relating to the guernsey will be published on lions.com.au in October.

They said on twitter last night it should be sent out today. Wait and see, I guess.

Doesn't give supporters a lot of time to reply.

Just another occasion where they are dragging the chain!

I'm becoming very peed off with MY club at present...

Do I get more than one vote seeing as though I have multiple memberships in my name?

My wife holds a membership, but has never signed up for any email stuff as we get it all in our email account through one of the memberships in my name. How does she get a say?

Do AFL members with Lions support get a say?

Where is my email ? :p

Will be a web page survey CTD. You will be able to submit a response for each unique membership number you have.
Me like, sounds fair......:thumbsu:

Still no survey? Maybe it's being rewritten. I think they are busy taking out the questions below;
1. How do you rate the board's performance this year?
8. Are you glad that Paul Roos is coaching us next year?
9. Do you think the end of season review of Voss was fair?
13. Which of Polec, Yeo, Docherty or Karnezis are you most excited about seeing next year?
22.Of the 2 new Guernsey designs do you prefer the big cartoon koala or the plain white all over. (actually this one might remain).
38. Can you bake lamingtons and if so, can you spare a few hours a week for the club?
41. Do you agree with the board's decision to change the constitution to allow only one General Meeting every 3 years?

Shouldn't be long now. I am certain the club is looking forward to any and all feedback in its finest hour.
