Greene would be very, very unlucky to get suspended, hope common sense and justice prevails at the tribunal, and not a case decided on public outrage by Helen Lovejoy like puritans.

Because it actually wasn't abundantly clear, which is why he pulled the pressure point bullsh*t. If it were a clear cut eye gouge, that's a 6+ week suspension.

Greene's serious misconduct literally left a mark under the Bont's eye, which is already significantly more than you can say about Rischitelli. Yet here you Carlton supporters are marching to Greene's defence, I wonder why?

Far out you’d think Greene went full Gaff on Bont the way the Dogs fans in this thread are carrying on.

Footage shows Greene wrestling, hair pulling and grabbing Bont’s face. As for actual eye gouging? Far from convinced. Where’s it show him pressing down on his eyes?

The incident isn’t a great look. If the tribunal ends up not viewing it as eye gouging maybe he cops a Baker like suspension for misconduct?

Typical stupid behaviour from Greene though. His coach would be furious.

He probably directed the attack Bont to nulify him plan and encouraged the approach GWS took. It worked a treat against the Swans a few years back in a final. Cameron probably has to concede some blame here knowing the fine line Greene takes. I also fail to see any eye gouging but some grubby attention as usual.

Evidence shows Bonts eye starting to mouse up and probably is from Greene but they went at him so much it could have happened in another incident, though unlikely.

Been a while since I watched that footage. Just watched it again. Judd very clearly pushes down on Rischitelli’s eyes. How was it not abundantly clear? Quartermain’s reaction shows he knew it was going to get him in strife.

Greene had his fingers allover Bont’s face. Where does he push down on his eyes?

A bruise under his eye is meant to prove eye gouging? The act of applying force to the actually eyes. That’s really your argument?

If he’s getting weeks I’d be surprised if it’s for actual eye gouging unless they’ve got different footage.

I agree the footage shown isn’t 100% conclusive which convinces me Christian has seen something we haven’t because he has been charged and sent straight to tribunal.

I think the charge is 'unreasonable contact to the face' or something similar. Not specifically 'eye gouging'.

A fair bit of contact to the face there. If he wasn't trying to dig at his eyes then I'm not sure what he was trying to do.

There's white line fever and then there's this. He'll be gone for a few I'd reckon. This year is done.

Why would I be bitter? The Bont is one of my favourite players in the league and I have no reason to have an axe to grind against the Dogs.
