This is how you deal with these grubs:

5 games earlier in the year, 8 games for a second go down from 10-12 the NRL wanted.

Clear contact with the eye there but those in denial in this thread will tell you that it never happened.
Well considering the charge was contact to the eye region and the video evidence appears to show this happening, one is rather intrigued to find out what the basis of their appeal will be, because they can only appeal on the basis that the decision was fundamentally excessive for the offence or there was some kind of error of law.

Perhaps they are going to appeal on the grounds that Lachie Neales eyes are in fact not underneath where Tobys hand is situated in the footage? They could argue that contact was not in fact made to the eye region because Lachie Neales eyes were not actually found on his face at the time of the incident?

Which is about as stupid but probably the only viable grounds for appeal that they could come up with? Im a barrister and even Im finding it hard to think of how they will argue their way out of this one given their defence argument at the tribunal hearing, it rather limits their direction. I dont think the AFL will be too happy with their godless love child turning around and biting the hand that feeds them so publicly

OK.

I was there.

When he went for Neale - late into the tackle and snaked his hands to Neale's face - there was a huge uproar. It was obvious on the screens at the ground.

This grub should not be playing professional sport.
This “grub” as you like to say hasn’t been convicted of eye gouging like Carlton great Brendan Fevola.

Nor has he taken revenge pr0n pics of Lara Bingle, like Brendan Fevola (thank god he did it before it was a law, right!!)

Pissing on a window, embarrassing his captain on TV...

Jesus, you’d think you’d look up to
Him a moral pillar compared to the grade-a grubs that have graced Carlton over the years.

I'm mostly surprised opponents go in to bat for him. Repeatedly going after opponents eyes when they're held down means you're running a pretty decent chance of a permanent injury, and is pissweak enough that there should be little respect for him.

Wild imaginations

Stop this "inconclusive vision" lie. The initial footage was inconclusive but the footage shown on 360 last night was %100 conclusive, unless you're blind, biased, or you're looking at it on a tiny iphone screen.

You can clearly see him claw at Neale's eyes. There's no question;

The 360 footage shows the eye socket flick IMO.

Erv reperted u Fur going off 2pic

If Neale claims he didn't have his eye gouged then how can Greene still be suspended? What does Neale get out of lying to the tribunal about such a matter?
How old are you? I'm not trying to be a smart arse. Just this use to happen all the time players lying to protect the accused. Noone wants to be a snitch

Was he charged under 21.2.2 a(ix)? He could have been charged with 21.2.2 b which would mean that whether it is intentional or careless is not a factor in their decision.

It seemed intentional to me anyway.

I'd say Greene's defence tried to get it downgraded to careless for a reason.

From the tribunal recap:

Anderson says there is insufficient evidence that there is contact to the eye region. If I am wrong about that ... and there was some contact to the eye region, then it was careless.

#WHATABOUTFEV !!!!

Verbal evidence vs. video footage? Ok. :$

Also, Neale didn't categorically say he didn't feel contact in the eye region, he said he couldn't rememeber contact in the eye region, doesn't exonerate Toby. - He never really exonerated Toby.

He stuffed the players code. He should of said, I never felt contact around the eyes.

And you didn’t.

Faux tough-man tactics cost you 6 points. Lost by 3....And you’ve been crying salty tears directed at Toby the last 72 hours.

You see tonight’s result as some kind of victory. You didn’t win s**t, chump.

Your boys are on day 3 of their mad Monday bender still getting pingaz from Claye Beames at the Rocklea Hotel.

We’re playing a Prelim.

Redirect your salty tears away from the river systems, our farmers are struggling enough.

Thanks for the entertainment mate. You are one special person!

Looking forward to seeing Toby kick 6 next time the Giants play The Dogs. Wouldn't miss it for the world, very rarely have I seen one group of supporters being blatantly triggered to meltdowns like The Dogs and Greene (probably Carlton fans and Darren Milburn was the last time tbh)

He is now officially one of my top 5 favourite non Carlton players in the league, it's great for the league having a charismatic villain like him in the game

Too many vanilla/boring personalities in the game these days.

Nah.
Have been a fan of Toby's resume for years. Grub. He'd win grub of the year as voted by his fellow AFL players.
In a landslide. As a five-time winner.

Of course his representatives would say that.

There is absolutely no way that the above footage can be regarded as "careless".
