And even if he did make extremely fleeting contact to the eye(s), the evidence is not sufficient enough to prove it was intentional. Careless contact would've been a fine rather than a suspension.

Wrong. Nothing in the rule book setting a penalty for intentional/careless. You would think that 2 weeks in a row and a suspension is warranted for careless contact.

Video footage shows fingers contact the nose and cheek. The eye is obscured by his passing hand but there’s no conclusive evidence the eye region itself was raked.

That's the footage that you saw. The footage they showed on Saturday night looked like it was eye contact.

He went into the tackle late and went for Neale's face.

Absolutely he intended to go for his face.

If Greene "accidentally" raked Neale's eyes while intentionally going for the face, that's still on him.

The whole action was obvious as anything to everyone at the ground. Greene was booed every time he went near the ball and his scoring was met with silence.

He was booed before that incident. What game where you watching?

Stop this "inconclusive vision" lie. The initial footage was inconclusive but the footage shown on 360 last night was %100 conclusive, unless you're blind, biased, or you're looking at it on a tiny iphone screen.

You can clearly see him claw at Neale's eyes. There's no question;

Exactly . It's not as though they were wrestling on the ground either, he went out of his way to make contact.

Watch this:

35k lions fans had nothing to do with the lack of crowd noise.

Yeah and? The problem is the fingers contacting the face in a deliberate and unnecessary way. Of course you can't see the eyes; they are covered by Greene's fingernails.

Another example of the AFL's incompetence at managing conflicts of interest. You can't put two ex Cwood players on a tribunal here without creating a perception of conflict regardless of whether they were actually conflicted in their decision.

Grounds for appeal on that basis alone.

Totally amateurish by Gil and co.
You're not one of those Tiger supporters that believe Hockings rule changes are to help Geelong and hinder Richmond are you?

So the booing of him is not a direct correlation to the Neale incident.
OK.

I was there.

When he went for Neale - late into the tackle and snaked his hands to Neale's face - there was a huge uproar. It was obvious on the screens at the ground.

This grub should not be playing professional sport.

That’s the one I saw. Sure it’s unnecessary contact to the face. But I can only see his fingers contact his nose and cheek
LOL!

His eye socket bends out of shape you utter dill.

The grub didn’t learn after getting off kicking Dahlhaus in the face. He then went and did a similar thing to a Sydney Swans player in a final. Eye gouged last week and got away with it. Did the same this week and they caught up with him. Should have got 4, so escaped lightly.

Talented player, but as a bloke he’s a POS.

That looks clear cut to me. He at least attempted to scratch, and the scratch marks on both sides of Bont's neck to go with it. Toby Green is a lil bitch confirmed.

I recall Bont's neck actually bleeding. Makes sense now how that happened.
