By preparing - you mean shaving down for their next post season bonding session - right??
Getting Jake Carlisle to organize the catering may not have been the best idea

So Tom Boyd performs well in a final, Caleb Marchbank (who GWS reached for with the pick 6 we gave them) requests a trade.

Looks like we can chalk this trade up as a clear Bulldogs win

Cap room, Mofra. It's a thing.

Was Boyd a net plus for the Doggies last night - yes.

Is paying a million bucks a year worth it for a kind of useful ruckman who looks okay when put against Jonathon Giles ? No.

Sorry, I chalk this one up to a nobody wins situation.

Best forward-ruck we've seen in Bulldog colours since that respected and much loved football commentator, Luke Darcy.
Tom's only just turned 21 too.
Monster

OK, Mofra.

I'll bite.

Lemme use as an example young Tom's game as against a two cheap journeyman ruck-forwards in recent games.

6 8 14 5 8 1 0 5 0 2

4 5 9 2 16 2 0 6 0 0

Now, which one is Tom ? For bonus points, who are the other two ?

Boyd's influence transcends stats - his late play where he hits the pack hard (taking out two defenders), gathers a ball, takes on three West Coast Eagles and burst through all three tackles to set up a Clay Smith goal was epic but only registers as a single handball.

Eyeball test > numbers although 5 tackles shows intent.

Ian, you missed that Mof was posting in code. Once you decipher the key (Darcy 'respected and much loved') it all makes perfect sense.

Provided some superb structure last night but still couldn't manage a goal despite the Dogs dominating inside 50s.

Put Bruce, Membrey or McCartin in that forward line and they would have kicked 5 goals at least.

So much talent, and with an older side, it's amazing you missed the finals at all.

Well we would have if it was #freekicksaints instead of #freekickbulldogs or #freekickhawthorn

Maybe we should invite the umpires to stay at our pre-season training camp like the Hawks did.

Oh yes, the umpires.
Of course

Mofra are you by chance of Irish descent? You're crapping on about this spud like a proud potato farmer. :D
