Tom Hawkins 350 games - What is his standing in the game?

Amartey sitting in stands provided more than Franklin or Reid in the '22 GF when Hawkins was rending the soul from the laydown Swans.
Hawkins was certainly more central to premiership success than Franklin ever was, despite the latter being a far superior player.

Take Hawkins contributions out and there's no 2009 or 2011 flags. Take his dominant first quarter out against Sydney in 2022 and maybe they'd have steadied and made a competitive game out of it.

Absolutely top end KPF. Just behind Buddy and alongside Reivoldt's, Kennedy.

Unusual modern KPF - very big and powerful, not athletic. But very smart and a great team player.

Just outside the all time elite.

Amazing career.

Really good career comes to an end:

18 seasons (2007 - 2024)
359 games
796 goals
Goal average of 2.21 per game
Averaged 44.2 goals per season
Most Goals in a Season: 68 (2014)
3-time Premiership player
1 Coleman medal
1 Geelong Best & Fairest
5-time All Australian
11-times Geelong leading goal kicker
8 times 50+ goals in a season

Would love to see him and Jack Riewoldt work together in the media. They used to appear on "Players Night" on Tuesdays on AFL360 and you could see the respect and care they had for each other. They even had a photo together when Richmond played Geelong in 2023 at the MCG and they played against each other for the last time, they swapped jumpers and signed the jumpers too.

They'd make a good pair I reckon and they could even have a segment called "Tom & Jack" and just talk about Footy.

Get it done Fox Footy.

Yep, hats off to him and both of them really.

Uncanny how similar some of their stats and accolades are, despite being totally different players physically as key forwards.
