Great player, will be missed. Brings to an end the Franklin/Jack Riewoldt/Josh Kennedy/Tom Hawkins era of forwards.

Between them from 2008 to 2020, in that 13 season period they won 10 Coleman medals. The depth was fantastic.

Ben Brown still going thanks.

I've said it before but this guys career whilst rated highly, is still underrated IMO. One of the best to ever do it and very rarely mentioned up there with the great forwards of the game.

Bloke could play a bit :D
Ripping guy too from all reports.
Great career. Hopefully he can pull the boots on for 1 more game at least to say goodbye.

Hard not to think with the emergence of Rory Lobb as the greatest key back of his era that he won't be the last key forward to call it a day over the coming weeks.

Great player though.

360 games, 800 goals, 3 premierships, 5 all Australian blazers and a Coleman medal.

One of the best to ever do it.

If you had told Geelong supporters in 2007-2008 (especially) when he struggled for fitness in particular and form at times, that he would be Geelong's games record holder by the time he finished up, not sure how many would have believed it.

Hard pressed to think of a key forward - and a big key forward - who kept himself in better nick for so long.

Ben Brown not in those players league, sorry.
Kicked 188 goals over the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons, more than anyone else over that period in time. Top 3 in the Coleman every one of those years, and would have jagged one in an equal fixture that didn't have Jack Riewoldt getting to dine out on Gold Coast several times a season.

But also, nice work Tom Hawkins.

Hasn't done it for as long as those players.

Hmmm... Jack won the Coleman in 2018, when we played Gold Coast once, while Tom and his Cats played the Suns twice. Jack also finished seven goals ahead of Tom. Seems you've made a mistake.

Edit - should also be noted that Ben Brown, the runner-up in the 2018 Coleman Medal, also got the opportunity to "dine out" on the Gold Coast twice in that season.

Congratulations Tom Hawkins on being a 1 club player and having a great career!!!

One of my top 4 forwards this century, your brute strength and accurate kicking from the pockets is what made you one of my favourite and feared Geelong players. 😺
