He was saying he (as a white male) is not a piece of sh*t merely because he is (a white male and is) not black, Asian, gay etc.

Obviously still not a sentiment you'd want shared but I didn't think he was saying those minorities were sh*t, just that he is not sh*t despite not being a minority.

I did think this was a possibility. Like he was drunk at a minority/lgbt friendly nightclub or something. Still not great.
