Fantastic effort from Scully, it was unfortunate that Melbourne lost the game, clearly deserved to win. I've played on Skully, back when he played at Berwick, he never stops running and is so clean with his hands, going to become one of AFL's best.

Wow, sour much?

And youngsters going missing - I agree, massive concern when kids that have played less than 20 games go missing  Maybe that will be a concern next year when they've played a few, but come on, give them a chance.

Given that some of our best players aside from Scully were Trengove, McKenzie, Jones, Bate, Grimes and Frawley, I'm not really worried with what that clown said.

Bennell was the only played who played well for the first 3 quarters and couldn't get into it in the last. That isn't unexpected though for a young, skinny forward pocket.

Back to Scully...WOW!

And how is that? Melbourne have had more low picks than us the last couple of years. There is nothing wrong with Dustin Martin...Trent Cotchin.

Fair go idiot....the Tigers department has been doing well since the JON fiasco...

They've been alright. You'd desperately want Vickery to come good though.

You should thanks Vlad for letting you get away with your incredible tanking last year. I don't mind the Dees rising again, and you'll be formidable in a couple of years, but the rewards for cheating the system need to be looked at.

I agree.
Scullys a Tiger and always will be in my mind.

The AFL rewards cheats.

LOL

Just go thank McMahon ;) I know you Tigers supporters love him enough already.

Besides, we'd have still finished last wouldn't we? That means Scully would have gone #1 (most likely, although not certain) and you'd have had your choice of Martin and Trengove.

Game's a joke and if GWS pinch Martin, that's it.

I will leave the game forever.

****ing joke that a team who plays fair gets shit on in the
AFL.

Okay, you've had your say, but I reckon you should leave now.

Yes, you are bitter that you only got the 3rd best midfielder in the draft and not the top 2. Don't blame Melbourne's "tanking" on your poor performances though. A lot of Melbourne's best drafting has been done with later picks.

Your post doesn't make any sense at all, the fct that we are doing all th ethings you've suggested demonstrated that we're much further in our development than the general football community thought at the start of the season.

I thought my post made a lot of sense. It doesn't take a lot of football skill or experience to go in hard for the ball, especially as the underdog, it just takes desire.

Actually winning a flag takes a whole lot more, it requires experience and it requires being able to sustain the pressure even when you are the hunted almost every week. That takes years to develop.

yeah but even so..its one thing saying IF tigers and crows did that and them actually doing it.

i'm sure that the dee's fans are estatic with they way theyre playing

i'm sure the tigers fans this year, as would and dee's fans last year would give anything to see there team playing with as much heart and effort as the dees are atm

regardless of results

They should be very happy, going in hard for the ball and being competitive is a great first step. But, Richmond spent years being competitive and hanging around 9th position, going from bottom half to top half and sustaining it is a big step, bigger than going from easy beat to being competitive.

We were the first team to really look at how the Dees played well and implemented a strategy to counter it by a younger and less experienced team and a 5 game coach, when you have to cop that kind of treatment every week then it is a big step getting in and staying in the eight.

Dees supporters should be happy though, they really should have played this kind of footy two years ago but were held back, it is good that they are free of the shackles now.

when we beat brisbane adelaide and brisbane i dont think our best players were trengove and scully, i thought they were bennel grimes and mckenzie as well as a few senior players like davey (rookie listed as well).

Richmond supporters need to stop attacking melbourne for tanking to be winning games this year

Yet the only coach who has admitted to tanking was Wallace while at Richmond. That must hurt Smasha, the Tigers have tanked and they're still shiite.

It's amazing what a team can do when they don't tank aye Melbourne.

It took a goal after the siren (from a mark that probably shouldn't have been awarded as it was after the siren) from one of the biggest hacks of all time, for us to lose to you guys last year.
We still played a lot of our best senior players and kids, so we weren't tanking as blatantly and as terribly as you seem to think.

Make no mistake about it, we were terrible for 3 years and needed all the help we could get. We just knew how to take full advantage of our picks and the system, and you didn't. Get over it.

They do markets for most DT points these days, don't they?

If so, I'm putting money on Tom Scully to go nuts next week. We are well average, and Woosha will put a "semi-tag" on him...

I have massive respect for the roos and I like Scott, but it was your pressure (something every club tries for) and etihad that really brought us unstuck, not some magical game plan.

We were almost undoubtedly held back last year, but in 2008 we had nothing. Bailey spent the whole year playing the future and finding out which guys weren't the future (and pretty much those who weren't injured) and couldn't have done much more to win many games. We were Richmond of 2010, this list was just too far off the rest of the comp.

Good luck for tonight!

Too bad you can't get nominated for the Rising Star award twice in one season, because he'll rip us to shreds next week. :(

I was actually at the game last night for the pink lady.
My gf was in it.

And I barracked for the Dees.

Teared up when Stynes went around the ground.

It just breaks my heart that Richmond always get screwed and then you put on the radio and there is always some idiot having a crack then you open the HUN.

I don't think I've witnessed more hatred for a single team in my 30 plus years of watching footy than what Richmond cops.

**** Collingwood are treated like angels compared to us.

To top it off Scully a Richmond man gets taken away from us because we wanted to win a game last year.

The world is a cruel cruel place.

What do I do tomorrow if we win/lose??

The AFL is ****ed up.

I always want to win but winning that game last year cost us another player which is crucial for the club as it's behind the 8 ball as it is.
