Some of you need to chill out, be better than geelong supporters.

We dont need to wish injuries on anyone or hope someone evens it up.

Just be content in the fact we win when it really matters.

Also the thread is about Stewart and Prestia

Are you saying the AFL follows their rules? The tribunal cleared a club of systematic doping later overturned by a competent organisation and your suggesting they will follow their own rules
Maybe at least wait until Tuesday before melting about the decision
He won’t get anything under 3 weeks

If you watch the replay the umpire can clearly be heard (off camera) saying to Stewart that he was on report for rough conduct.

Wasn’t a great act on Stewart’s part but not sure calls 6 weeks (or more) are too balanced. We’ve all had players on the receiving end and we all get emotional, but 4 weeks seems about the mark here.

But like everyone else, just an opinion. Good luck to you guys for the rest of the season.

So why no free? Why no 50 as per the rule book

It has officially been changed. Tom Stewart is officially being charged as "Careless, Severe impact, High contact."
Straight to the Tribunal will save Geelong appealing it lol.

I thought off the ball incidents were assessed as intentional and careless was for those in play.

Makes it grey with this one, I still believe it was intentional, but wouldn't be surprised if phone calls were made by shocking to minimise the time he sits out

So why did Scott congratulate him at quarter time , intentionally taking out players the cats have form and so does your coach , now if you can’t read it says no opposite supporters

3 weeks for a deliberate bump (it was deliberate and intentional) is not enough when players are getting 2 weeks for standing their ground or accidental head clashes. Houli got 4. Stewart should get at least 4. Having it be graded careless and a possibility of 3 is laughably inadequate.

Yep. Reckon some strings were pulled given the 2 different gradings before clarification.

Can you link me to any public statement made by Tom Stewart where he says sorry and asks Prestia for forgiveness?

“Careless”
As in careless how?
Carelessly lined him up and hit him in the face ‘too hard” ?
I think I'll carelessly call the carnts at AFL house out as incompetent.

Gill's legacy = worst CEO in the history of the AFL. An absolute disaster.
Seriously sack that useless tall streak of shit now.

AFL commission = senile old carnts that have 3 hour lunches are wear adult nappies.

Initially I was not that serious, however I believe the club should consider pursuing both Stewart personally and the AFL on assault and WHS grounds respectively. Reality is Prestia was knocked out for no reason and play continued. The AFL has identified controls for this situation - stop play and 50m penalty - and decided to enact neither of them.
This is a failure of their duty to maintain an existing control. Clear breach of WHS legislation.
Seperate proceedings against Stewart for assault.
Let’s face it our relationship with the AFL cannot get any worse. This would be a massive shot across the bows that we will not accept the AFL’s behaviour and we are strong, not weak, so we will not agree to one of their famous deals or repent under media pressure from the usual suspects.
There is nothing for the club to lose. I first thought about this as a bit of a long shot but the more I read the more I am convinced the club should give legal action serious thought.
Intriguing
Clearly the AFL don’t want a line in the sand re head contact so it’s possibly on a club or individual to draw this line.

3 would be pretty laughable if you consider what Pickett did for his 1 week and what Ryder did for his 2 weeks.
Think it will be 4
AFL will want to send a message imo and it seems like the general consensus in the media as well but we will see

It is a disgrace that his number was not taken then and there. The whole umpiring system is broken. I know it is somewhat symbolic taking their number but it is an important recognition in real time of what has happened. Instead they did not even stop the game.
FARCE.
It’s also a disgrace a player with a graze on his leg is enough to halt a game, but a guy (semi) unconscious prostrate lying on the turf isn’t enough to stop for their welfare.
Bizarre… but the governance of the game currently is atrocious

Lawyers are rubbing their hands together for future law suits believe me. Worst run sport in the world by far.

3 would be a joke.
4 inadequate.
5 probably about it.
6 is what it should really be.

But please, just take it out of Michael Christian's hands FFS.
I'm amazed that nong can get himself dressed in the mornings.

I just wanted to say... Chris Scott is a complete nong.
Blokes into manscaping... Why bother Chris you have the face like a dogs arse and that's being cruel to the dog.

Thats utter bullshit, carless would be if he bumped him high contesting the football. He ran past the ball with only one intention.

Yep.

careless...?

wonder if this has anything to do with their coaches brother being the one giving the final tick off to MRO decisions
