Weagles copped a few bad ones in the first but how that wasn't a free to Walker in the last I'll never know.

Long time reader, first time poster.
Tonight was one of the worst umpiring efforts I have seen. To put on such a poor display in a final is unforgivable.
The first half reminded me of playing NBA jam as a kid, get in front then... Catch up mode would kick in to undo all the good work done. Just to make things worse the scrip was flip in the last quarter, The same free kicks that got west coast in the game were not paid to Carlton and ended up gifting west coast a preliminary birth.
Ive had a solid laugh in the past when a friend said "I would not wish this upon my worst enemy" as he tried to fit into a pair of ridiculously too small jeans. Now I understand and say to you west coast and all other contenders I hope the same display of umpiring is not put on display for the remaining games this season.

And this is why this forum is denigrating into a farce lately. Any time someone of the opposition wants to say something, it is automatically assumed that they are trolling because they hate the team. It has nothing to do with that, so stop saying bullshit like that. Enough is enough. I expressed my opinion. Sure if you don't agree with me that is fine, but to say it is cause I hate the WCE (which is totally wrong if you knew me) then you are the only troll here.

I always thought that the ball needed to cross fully over the line to be called a goal, how can a player touch the ball before it was completely over still be called a goal, IMO on two other occasions the goal umpiring look suss, same end BTW

You might take note that it's fans of other clubs also saying the umpires were woeful with the advantage going to WCE overall.

Most Blues fans have been pretty good tonight, but I hope there are a few more comments like this to make the win all the sweeter.

If you want to put the whistle away, put it away in the first quarter as well. I thought the second half was just amazing to watch. But clearly, Lynch's, Duigan's chop and Walker's hold would all have been called in the first half. They called anything they could think of. Just be ****ing consistent.
Also I agree with the double goal. Just stupidity from Davies. Don't need to do it. Mistake of a kid.

was that on the fumble across the line or the warnock spoils?, would love to see some side on replays.
My concern is on the eagle player tapping the ball back into play from behind the goal line, cause on tv he touched it before the ball completely crossed.
those 3 will umpire the gf. the afl likes to reward rubbish performances. geisch will come out and defend them to the hill and state they did nothing wrong

Carlton a bit unlucky towards the end there. But the only reason they were still in the contest was the 4 goal head start the umps gave them in the first.
That one was a goal either way. If it had crossed the line then it was a goal, if not, then he kept it in and kicked the goal himself.
Got to laugh at some of these posts...
Poor umpiring for sure. But to say we were gifted the win is a cop out. It evened itself out in the end. Everyone likes to look at the last few minutes and think that umpiring cost them the game when the only reason you were in the game was because of the shit umpiring earlier.

if that's true then the umpire called a goal when there should not have been one, rather play until score or other. Eitherway If these four (I include the goal umpire from that end as well) umpire next week i will be shocked and disappointed.
