Would Richmond do the following deal:

Collingwood send: pick 34 + Future 3rd

Richmond send: pick 40 44 and future 3rd

I assume our best chance of getting those picks off them is if they intend to only draft 5 players in the national draft. They also get an assumed upgrade on their 3rd round position in 2022.

Is this too far fetched or a reasonably fair deal for both parties?
And this probably only works if we get word Daicos isn't bid on at 1?

Why would a future third need to come into the equation at all?

Purely a points difference exercise.

We are giving 542 and getting 791 so to balance the trade off purely points wise we can offer our future 4th rounder which will make up the 200 odd point difference (less value IMO) or swap future 3rds which could likely round off the difference if we finish bottom 6 and they finish inside the 8

You wouldn't necessarily need to balance out the trade points-wise if Richmond need to shed a pick as you are proposing...

Ad's looks like he is suffering from his hammies. He had no explosive run, and appeared to be in jogging mode last night. I can see why the Pies looked to move on his contract, as the hammies are always a concern, and he was starting to miss chunks of seasons in the last couple of years with us. He missed a chunk of this season too with the Doggies.
Stevo, well what can you say. The betting scandal was the same thing, wasn't sure if he should let anyone know, despite knowing it was the wrong thing to do. Now trying to hide his injury from the club that he is employed by, seems to show a pattern of behaviour.
Flipper was good for the Hawks this year, and will probably finish top 10 in their B & F. Just a good honest footballer is Flipper...

Like an annoying girlfriend you want to dump gently, we tried the "it's not you Adam it's us...." When that didn't work we went straight to gaslighting mode.

Rubbish. Just cause a player has a ‘pregnant wife’ doesn’t mean they get to call the shots where they want to play and how much for. Players have too much power as it is.

Yeah how dare someone have the right to choose where they live. How dare a father to be decide what is important to him and make a career choice that puts family first.

Given he signed a 5 year contract I think expecting him to see out said contract isn't unreasonable.

And don't get it wrong, this is a money move just as much as a family one.

You wonder why they moved in the first place. only there 2 or 3 years.

Interesting to see how the remaining two years of his contract is sorted out, between the two clubs. He is on $750k a year, l wonder who picks up that tab? If Fremantle take majority , financial wise, of the remaining years in his contract, that may give them leverage in what they may have hand over in terms of draft picks....

Wonder how Fly and Leppa view the potential acquisition of Stengle?

I’m super keen on us grabbing him given what he offers and the gaping crumbing hole we still have on our list.

But I think whether or not we take him now will be very enlightening.

Both of them would have insight into Tyson from his two years at Richmond. With our limited draft hand and the need to be a bit creative to get talent in this offseason, he'd be incredibly difficult to pass up.

Agreed and with the coaches having first hand knowledge they would likely back themselves in to turn him around.

Why did he leave Richmond in the first place?

I see he is listed as retired on the Crows delistings....

Correct way of thinking, I think this is the sort of thing we'll look to do between the trade period and draft night, or on draft night itself. It'll also depend on what we're hearing as to who's going to bid on Daicos.

We already passed on him in the MSD.

Treloar was bizarre last night. It looked like his head was not in the game.

On a few occasions he ran past the player with a mark/ free kick and at Collingwood he would automatically receive the ball. Whereas the Dogs players ignored him and took their kick lol He seemed to lack urgency, even when the ball was close by. Honestly, reminded me of Grundy (although Treloars top speed would be significantly higher) the way he plodded along.

I honestly think the Dogs thought Dunkley was going to leave and got spooked. Treloar is surplus to their requirements and does not have the ability to play up forward.

Kudos to Buckley for selecting the right players to move on.
Treloar was a liability, looked really out of place
