You'd be surprised, I think. We would want a very good pick, but it's not impossible that we trade Steven, depending on his contract negotiations. Nice to see opposition fans rate him, though!
Pick 7 I'd be tempted, but decline, unless you could flip it into 2 1st round picks (unlikely in this draft).
How many second round picks would it take to go from 4 to 1? Since I suspect we will have a few 2nd rounders this year.
Steven is a great player and yes we rate him.

On a completely separate note, anyone who thought Sam Reid was a possibility, forget about it. Was ripped off the table with the news that Sydney weren't allowed to trade in anyone for 3 years. They'll be keeping tight on all the young fella's they've got now.
According to Ralph, GWS will open with pick 7 and a mid-tier player, and after the usual bullshit, it will end up pick 4 and a decent player.

Has the AFL given any indication whatsoever of why they aren't allowed to trade? Just sounds absolutely ridiculous, the competition is just a joke at the moment

Decent player has to be at least tomlinson good. I'm not talking about 10 games over 3 years type.

Completely. They're stupid for requesting that much. Pick 5 and 25 is good value.
Yeah, perhaps they are getting something else with Beams.... like a second round pick. Still think they have blinked and should have kept it at 5 & 25.

All three are uncontracted though. So if the GWS are confident of getting all 3 they beat get 6 first round picks to share.
They will get Griff lets just hope we get fair pay.

I feel like I did when Undertaker lost at Wrestlemania (Yes girls, I'm doing a wrestling analogy. That goes out to you Nath and Dannn).
First was shock and a bit of anger. Then afterwards you calm down and it's kind of hazy and confused, not sure what to feel (current state). Then we get something awesome, like the WM main event (in this case, pick 4 and a good player). And then we accept it, and see that it was the right move at the time and look forward to what will happen now in the wake of this huge event.
