Strategy Trade and List Management thread 4 (Be sure to huddle around your transitor radio at 11 am Edition)

Is the Stringer situation beyond repair?

  • The club clearly want him out the door.

  • This was just a shot across Jakes bow as a means of motivating him.

  • The club is clearly a rabble. Sack Macca!

  • This is just the first play in massive trade that we are not yet privy to.

  • This is a game of blink and Jake and Conners just blinked.

  • Its time to move on a negotiate the best deal we can.

  • I felt sad for Jake on that stage today.

  • We've warned you about creating polls Norm!

  • The Jack 'Armageddon option' Watts option

Good on Webby for backing himself. Not convinced it's the best move list wise, but if he lights it up next year we'll look like geniuses.

As for the Martin trade, even if folks don't agree with immortal about his performance this year, basic biology dictates that the only way is down for big Stef. Reckon we get best use out of him if we think Lake at Hawthorn, potentially needing to rest him and keep him fresh, using him as an impact performer rather than expecting him to hold down ruck for the whole season. But this approach only works if the price is right.

Roughhead,Cambpell,Boyd even Cloke and English =All contracted. So what we contract another ruckman.Well l am not a contract specialist ,but until some of the above come out of contract .There are plenty of more positional gaps that need filling. Forwards and defenders as well as quick midfielders spring to mind. Also more pressing, are players that can take overhead marks.Roughead could in 2016 and we were premiers.Maybe like a few others he can rediscover it next year. And we don't need to contact an excessive amount of slow lumbering ruckman.Maybe English might be alright also.!!

I just had a quick look at the thread, its a 400 page wank fest

Seriously, 400 pages in a row about potentially getting one player

At most we probably talk about getting ******** for 5-10 pages before we move onto the next one

What made me LOL was to quell their disappointment they started a Get Kelly thread , and posters were RESERVING SPOTS on page 1 of the new thread. WTF??

Everyone knows that unless you're Pann or Fronk you get the most likes on page 1. Duh.

I think we need leg speed and players that can hit targets by foot. Apart from Caleb Daniel the rest are shocking. I'd trade libba Mitch Wallis hunter smith Dunkley Jong and bring in Kelly. I'd rather him with the ball in hand. Dahl not a good user and either is Bont at the moment but too good to trade. Be sad to see the father sons go but they cannot hit targets and lack pace
Liba not a good user as well as Hunter, you are obviously drunk when you watch our games

Dustin signing for that much gives me more hope that the Bont will be a Bulldog for life. If he was going to ever entertain leaving, it would have been for the club he supported as a child. He's worth every bit of Dustin's money... and despite what that flog Cooney says should be our next captain - unless he preferred otherwise.

With Stringer and Bont out of contract the next two years, I'm not really laughing at North. Their war chest isn't going anywhere. Not that I expect them to leave but big offers will push our price up
This is a great point. We should be cheering for them to land Kelly.
