Agree with what you're saying, but I don't think Johnson is gone for that reason - surely he was done regardless. Would surely have been on a fairly minimal contract too.
Yeah apologies I didn’t mean he was the reason but he is symptomatic of where their list is at and they’re clearly being more ruthless this offseason.

Love it! Can you please add some tats also?

I didn't see the game when JJ played with a mask of Wingard on. How did he go?
Here ya go mate, Chad with a tattoo:

Hope that's what you're after.

Sorry Man but what the F#$k are you on about???

For one there is zero and let me say that again ZERO chance Gaff is coming to the Dogs it is Norf or stay at the Eagles that is it.
and Second your post makes no sense
Steady on. The post makes perfect sense to me. Snake is saying that if we were successful in landing either one of the two possible players:
  • then landing Gaff would not cost us pick 7 because Gaff is a free agent... but it would affect our Dahlhaus Free Agency compensation (we lose pick 25 for example.) Therefore the result would be Gaff in as a FA and retain pick 7, but lose FA compensation pick 25;
  • whereas Wingard would cost us pick 7 but we get to keep the Dahlhaus compensation pick 25. So a Wingard trade would net Wingard and we keep pick 25.
On the basis of the comparison of the two scenarios the sensible thing to do would likely be go for Gaff. But as you say, Gaff is probably not an option for us. I agree with Snake - if we can't get Gaff we certainly should do Wingard for pick 7 and in doing so we keep pick 25 or whatever the Dahl compo pick ends up being.

I'd be very happy with something like this to the main list:

In: Wingard, Stengle, Lloyd, West, Khamis, Gowers, Lynch, Draft pick (Developing key FWD/RUCK)
Out: Dahl, C Smith, Biggs, Redpath, Collins, Roughead, Campbell, Honeychurch

Re-aligns our list to remove too many talls to include more pace, skills and forward play across the board.

We would have then have 3 more rookie spots (plus Smith) to draft based on needs.

Cam Luke answered a question on Twitter about where wingard will end up.....Dogs.

Obviously just musing, and he’s not a noted newsbreaker, but interesting nonetheless.
Also a Dogs supporter, isn't he? Maybe just a sprinkle of hope in there as well.
