Any reason why we are suggesting Richards here? or is that because of his family name and nothing else?
It's because he's got red hair

Coniglio or Martin said no?
Actually I think someone did, I think you're right. Our 1st + Williams for Florent would be a good result for both clubs i think
What do you think Williams is worth? We'd be lucky to get a late second for him to be honest. A pick in the 40s or 50s is probably best we can ask for. I'm also assuming our 1st lands around 13-14. Maybe we could ask for a little something on the way back, but I don't imagine Williams would serve as much more than steak knives in any trade unfortunatelyThat's a shocking deal for us

I know Williams currently holds little trade value but his potential needs to be factored in.
Florent is a largely unproven talent who's stats for a small fwd don't get anywhere near a first
Kids upside is through the roof. Have no idea why his name is being mentionedAny reason why we are suggesting Richards here? or is that because of his family name and nothing else?
Go back and actually read the thread. No one ever mentioned him being traded, simply used him as a comparison to Florent for value. You're getting triggered over literally nothingKids upside is through the roof. Have no idea why his name is being mentioned
except he's not a small forward.
I wouldn't mind getting Keath, but we don't have to succeed during the off season.Unless we get a really high quality level KPD we haven’t succeeded this offseason.
Keath just has to be done. Tippa and Martin are at best slight upgrades on what we already have. Keath is a significant upgrade on Cordy.

Off season success is for avid reader of the game to get rheir jollies over, the season is for footy fans.
Don't get me wrong, the off season is a bit of fun,but we have a strong list, and even if we bring no one in we are still we poised for onfield success.
Well his brother is actually his twin and they were taken in the same draft, but yes there seems to be a discrepancy in talent or application.Ben McKay is a terrible footballer. Have watched him closely at Werribee for a few years and he is lazy and lacks intensity.
This guy is the perfect size for AFL and was probably too big and strong for everyone as a junior, coupled with an older brother who can play, which was the reason he was a high selection in his draft year.
Seriously, this guy makes Trent Barret look like Chris Grant.
If North can get anything more than a 4th rounder for him, they will take it and run.
DO NOT WANT !
I agree a KPD would be great, some shiny new toys anywhere on the park would be exciting. To take that next step into being a top 4 side we need improvement in the KPD spot(s).
Not to mention Naughton, Richards, Baz and even English, any of which we may have missed out onhad we landed a big name.Whilst I do lament the big names we always seem to miss out on, can't argue against the good service we are getting out of Croz, Duryea, Lloyd and of course Trengove.
Croz and Duryea really help to stabilise a backline looking for its next great key backmen.
Just need that key back now.

no thanks.
Coniglio although I think the rumour started on Facebook so I wouldn’t read much into it.Coniglio or Martin said no?
Because he's had some great performances in the VFL after that injury.Has shown he's not up to it at AFL level through many opportunities. Thrown in a neck injury and what is the point of keeping him?
If this did happen do you think it would be one of the SA clubs..?With JJ, Crozier, Duryea, Suckling, Richards and possibly Williams, could Caleb be traded for value and if so what would you want (please don’t use this as a tool to transfer the CD winning/losing percentage argument here)?

He might want to move on for a better opportunity.Because he's had some great performances in the VFL after that injury.
We've put 4 years of development into him, and he's only failed to play games this year due to some really bad luck. I'd much rather retain him than pick up some long-shot spud on the rookie list.

Caleb is easily worth more than Keath. Doubt the club would ever entertain a trade of Caleb, but if they did, there'd be more than just Keath coming our way
