the $650k will be easily covered by his marketability
We have the cap room, I'm considering bringing in highly paid players and the effect it has on the group.
In a strange way it's why I wouldn't want us to make a grandfather offer for Coniglio - Bont deserves to be our highest paid player. Right now we are outperforming for our age / experience profile so bringing in talent is important, but keeping our existing talent is just as important.

We'll lose guys along the way (I expect Bailey Williams goes this year) but if we maintain most of the group and just add finishing touches we're going to be a very good side.

Spot on and 650k will not even bring Tippa in the top 5 earners at the club so nobody will be disgruntled by that. he is a proven player too

Picks will start to become more important as Gold Coast has requested that N.T fall under their NGA Program.
So players boarding in Victoria would fall under GCS
Cold war begins

Has there been any talk about assist-coach changes, Roughy would be a good pick-up

You don't want Jenkins. He'll ruin the balance of your forward line like he does with ours. Personally I think Keath is worth your first and a pick upgrade for you guys, he was AA form before our season capitulated and he got injured.
1st Rounder for a 27yo who has played less than 30 games? Highly doubtful.

We received pick 35 for Premiership full back Joel Hamling who was 23 at the time...2nd rounder seems about right to me.

If your going to come here, please post sensibly,a second rounder would be plenty. And being in AA form is a far cry from being in the AA side, and who gets picked in the AA side without consistent form, covering at least more than one season?

How the fk does that team constantly top up with decent players? Jenkins' deal was around 650k a yr, Dahlhaus similar, adding to Hawkins, Selwood, Danger etc. Geez it's annoying.
I highly doubt Dahl is on 650k,Danger went for unders to get to Geelong. Hawkins and Selwood are past their boom years.
We are looking good,we don't need to be all paranoid about opposition clubs.

Pretty sure Dahl was 500k.
Not sure, but you originally said 650k.
Anyway,I stand by what I said, the doggies are looking good and we don't need to be paranoid about other clubs.
If someone wants to come to us they will,if they don't they won't.

Mannnnnn thats hilarious for Geelong. The cliff is coming for them.

It’s been coming for 10 years. Don’t hold your breath. Spectacular club (as much as it pains me to say). Coaching and culture beats all.
