Is there anyone on this board that really doesn't rate him or think he is best 22 or even hates him?

Yours has been the least impressed sounding and it's still a positive reply.

C'mon Sam, you drop the pretence.

We love you and are glad that you came to the club.

True, safe to say more than half believed Lloyd wouldn't be best 22, and probably the majority thought Duryea wouldn't. I'll admit I saw Lloyd as fringe but still in the 22, while I struggled to see a spot for Duryea (being just outside the 22), but happy to admit I underrated their potential impact and both are now among the first picked in a fully fit side.

As it stands now, I think it would be hard to find anyone who thinks either are outside the 22 though. I think AuntyBlindEye was more referring to how he's viewed right now, rather than how he was viewed when he came in.
Yeah was more referencing now with a season at the doggies. Had seen that some dogs fans weren't rating him that much during trade period, which surprised me because I thought he went alright with us. Glad to see that he has done enough to erase the doubts from some people's minds. If you can't tell I really liked Lloyd.

I just really want you blokes to love me. Don't want to end up on the fringe again.

They are the trio of Dogs targets that could turn Luke Beveridge’s team into a long-term premiership threat. The Western Bulldogs are daring to believe they could secure all of Josh Bruce, Jack Martin and Alex Keath as they strengthen every line of their team for 2020.

The Dogs will take on GWS in an elimination final on Saturday hoping to relive their heroics of 2016 but behind the scenes they are working hard to make deals.

Gold Coast mid-forward Jack Martin met the Dogs this week where they made an impressive presentation on their future. He is also considering Carlton’s offer after meeting with the Blues on Tuesday and is now back in Broome pondering those offers while holidaying.

Adelaide intercepter Alex Keath is considering the Dogs and Crows and would perfectly slot into their defence alongside full back Zaine Cordy and fellow marking back Easton Wood.

And with St Kilda’s Josh Bruce being offered a long-term deal to jump from St Kilda, he is the perfect foil for Aaron Naughton as a contested forward who does the grunt work.

The Dogs have the cap space after years of saving, and are seen to be in front of St Kilda in the chase for Keath. The Martin decision is genuinely lineball but where last year the Dogs missed out on Chad Wingard to the Hawks, they are genuinely seen by prospects as a team on the rise.

With Bailey Dale signed up for three more years, imagine a forward line with Bruce, Naughton and Josh Schache leaping at packs with Martin and Dale at their feet.

Essendon isn’t officially out of the race for Martin but hasn’t put a deal to him yet amid speculation something big is brewing at the Dons, where Joe Daniher hasn’t hosed down trade talk yet.

Lid off if we can get all 3

Josh bruce would be huge, he's decent, honestly have no idea who keath is but we need defenders so would be v. happy with those two, I reckon we could turn martin around into a good player as well, were looking at all the right things, would be happy with one of these two or three would be even better, hopefully we can get it done

Where is this taken from?

Hahahahahahahah this is the first time I’ve responded to you in over a year, I took you off ignore but will remedy that now.

You do make me laugh, nice post taken out of an entire convo and hand picked sentences out of it

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

The fact you even bother to troll back 12 months and then wriggle posts to try and annoy me is hilarious

Keep punching little one😂😂😂😂😂

How about trying to contribute to the conversation instead of worrying about little old me ???
Cool back pedaling Matty. Own that one, you got it wrong.

I really like all three players too. Always been a big Jack Martin fan from the talk pre draft that he was one of the most special players to ever come through the system. Obviously faltered a bit in Gold Coast, but it's definitely not an ideal situation for a young talent.

Bruce and Keath would both be excellent additions to our fwd / back line and with our midfield already incredible and likely to get even better next year.... Oh boy, lid off!

I wonder if our reported interest in Keef cooled once the Bruce talk started up. If true it'd suggest we're happy just moving naughton back and having Bruce fill his role.
Maybe it cooled when Young returned to the team and started keeping Trengove out.

How is it wrong about Lloyd? I was happy to get him but he isn’t what I’d call exciting

And I’m pretty sure those sentences are part of different posts and the Power one was made before trade period ended

So tell me what part is wrong?

Lol context mate

Not sure our interest in Keath has cooled. Apparently we've put a highly competitive long term offer to him so it would seem we're still dead keen

Someone said a couple of weeks ago he was 95% at the Dogs, came from a reputable poster but I can’t remember who. That was before the Saints reports & he could always be swayed by more money elsewhere to really set his future up, but I have the feeling if it’s not him we’d have to overpay to shake someone else loose

None of that means our interest has cooled though

A supposed ITK on the Carlton board posted a few days ago that our offer to Martin is SUBSTANTIALLY higher than Carlton's. Like, potentially $200k-$300k more per year than theirs. This is apparently one of the biggest reasons we're more likely to land Martin, but could also mean that, if the door completely closes on Papley, Carlton may up their offer and potentially steal Martin away

Wow, we might be talking > $700k.

Yeah, some of the amounts being thrown around sound absolutely ridiculous. At worst, it sounds like Carlton are potentially offering around $450k while some are suggesting our offer is closer to $750k.

I find it very, very hard to believe. I wouldn't be surprised if our offer is closer to $600k while Carlton's is something like $500k. Anything outside that boundary just seems reckless

It's all complete guesswork, I don't think anybody really knows except for the parties very close involved. We could even offer a substantially front loaded contract. Something like 800k for the first year and then 400k for the years after that. We have a lot of flexibility.

So if we are favourites to land Bruce and we're leading the race (?) for both Keath and Martin we could well end up with all three.

This could explain in part why we haven't heard anything on Williams being re-signed. And maybe adds an extra level of intrigue to Dickson being left out this week.

As discussed a few days ago we could de-list Roberts and de-list Webb (and possibly later re-rookie him), thus creating two trade openings. If we do land all three trades we'll need to create a third spot. That could occur by way of an unexpected departure (e.g. we offer up a contracted player as part of a trade, or a contracted player gets lured away anyway) or else we have to create another vacancy, and that probably comes down to de-listing Williams or Dickson.

I think it's less likely that Dickson would get de-listed but it's a possibility that can't be ruled out.

The greater likelihood IMO is that we won't get all three and so we will have the option of extending Williams if we want to.

Two of those three trade targets would be a reasonable outcome. I guess there's always a chance that Power has some other trade up his sleeve too.

There were plenty that said it wasn’t a great pick up after trade week and he would struggle to be best 22.

In fact a lot of them were the same people that said Duryea wouldn’t be any good either.

Lol they won’t admit it now
Not sure if I posted it but definitely thought it.

I was wrong
