Can see Adrian somehow scrounging Carlton's future first rd, splitting one of his top 10 picks into 2 teens picks from Geelong and then offering say P15 or 20 and Carlton's future first. Interesting to see how far Sam can push the trade week God.
Say no then. Any sign they are splitting high picks to give us the change we stop returning calls.

Sooooo, Stef Martin takes the first bounce in round 1 next year right??

Timmy English to CHF surely.

Even if Naughton stays forward, I’d prefer English/ Naughton combo, instead of English/Naughton/Bruce, or Naughton/Bruce.
Naughton/English/JUH/Hannan/Wallis - we're only needing one spot to fill (VDM gets first crack) and one bench spot for a mid/forward.
Sam Lloyd/Bailey Dale/Josh Schache nervous as hell as right now Ed Richards is ahead of them all right now.

Interesting comments about culture and what went on in the hub as one of the major reasons Dunkley wants out I am calling it BS. Sure all clubs had problems in the hub no more than the tigers.

Facts
Bevo has his faults he has confused a lot us with selection and game style since the flag including no second ruck but driving culture and behavior is not one of them. He gave Stringer the heave ho and probably Dalhaus for bad behaviour.

Easton Wood and now Bont are outstanding citizens and would driving good culture.

No doubt he wants out because of the money and he sees himself as the number 1 big bodied midfielder at the bombers where he is not at the dogs. The bombers would have sniffing around for this type of player and through Pickering got into his ears on these points.

If he had the balls he could had said I going to take up the challenge and prove myself the best midfielder at the dogs who put faith in the team that drafted me and got me a flag in my first year and earn big dollars next contract.

My first thought was I wanted him to stay now I want him out but we get 1 first rounder for his ability and 1 first rounder because he is in contract. If not he stays and eats humble pie.

Ideal situation would be

Carton give 8 for Saad and something

then we get 8 and next years first for Dunkley they still have 7/8 which means they can legally do it.

then look at 8 for Treloar and their next years first otherwise 14 for him
Yep this was discussed in the main biard yesterday. I like it. Not sure how keen the Pies would be.

Fairness of these deals?

Deal 1
We split 14 with Melbourne (or north, once the Brown trade goes through) for 26 and 31.

Deal 2
Dogs get - 7 & 8
Essendon get - Dunkley & 26

Deal 3
Pies get - 8 & 41
Dogs get - 2021 first, treloar

So we basically swap firsts (albeit we’re swapping 8, not 14), but get Treloar for 41.

Net result
Out - 14, Dunkley, 41
In - Treloar, 7, 2021 first and 31.

Plenty of options to split 7 down for points thereafter (giants & cats). More than enough to pay for JUH.
Deal 4 - we avoid Treloar, bank the $900k x 5, sign Smith & Bont and use the leftover cash to have a crack at a FA next year - Zac Merrett is we really want a mid, Sam Day if we want a utility swingman, Josh Kelly just for a zero chance headline, even Aliir Aliir or Robbie Tarrant if our KPDs looks shaky again.

It is when it's a standing curl. Maybe using a bench to go for isolated, it's doable if you're on the bigger end, but standing curls of 50kg is huge
Depends on the rep range brah.
I could knock out an 8 rep set (pre-covid) but not in the Hemsworth arm day rep range (12-15).

So we don't replace Dunklry for 2021 and then chase Day (yuck), Tarrant (eho will be close to if not done) or Allir Allir (who will probably go to Port this year)

Surely not

Allir to Port is almost done.

I wouldn’t be giving 14. Why would we ? They want him gone. It’s the Stringer deal all over again.

Lloyd just flipped back and is now saying they need to ditch the Dunks plan because the price is definitely 2 top 10’s and they could have a rozee & smith for that price. I’d say he got a message from someone saying two top 10’s is absolutely the cost and it’s rattled him.

A big backflip in half an hour... hahaha. Makes him look like an idiot.

I've said multiple times my preference is to keep Dunkley.
Even if we don't, Treloar's contract will hobble us for the next 5 years. We'll likely end up with a Buddy situation where we're paying $900k pa for a broken down Treloar for the last couple of years of his contract.

I don't see any of those things being a reason to get it done today. Lowball them with an offer they don't want to accept and see if they capitulate in last hour tomorrow night. That's what Sam did last year and it worked out well for us.
From a pure negotiation point, your spot on. But we’re dealing with a human being not an asset like a car. If we want Adam, we want him to know that we are very serious about bringing him to the club, not that we will only take him as a desperate last minute effort by Collingwood to get him off the books at any cost.

I also think that Collingwood will deal in good faith without having to squeeze them. Their actions have made it pretty clear that they are desperate.

Lastly, if we are waiting to the last minute for some super fire sale situation, where your getting him for free and Collingwood is ponying up heaps of his salary, we won’t be the only one their ready to take that deal.
