I always tend to side with the player in this sort of stuff because 99/100 we would all be doing the same thing, maximising our earnings in our short window of opportunity. There are exceptions (see Jordan Dawson being a complete dog last year) but as long as hasn't made false promises about signing come the off-season he has backed himself in to earn a big deal, whether it is with us or elsewhere.

Twomey is good on his AFL.com videos and is one of the more reasonable Essendon supporters out there. His articles though (non draft related) are complete garbage, particularly his 'who is pushing for selection'. Completely ignores form & injury.
