Maybe not by him, his management on the other hand....The interview wasn’t planned, though.

Fair point, although IMO, any angle in that regard is just to get more money from us.Maybe not by him, his management on the other hand....
Soldos stats vs Sweets are interestingWe should be asking about Soldo again and play him as the main ruck.
Pick 8 will certainly be good compo. Reality is though we are meant to be contending now. So to lose one of our best players, and really our only defensive midfielder, will hurt.Soldos stats vs Sweets are interesting

I know he would have played a lot as the 2nd ruck this year so probably hard to take stats into account unless you narrow it down further but still it makes ya think. Also just can’t see how Bev would rate Soldo either
Whilst I’d love to target a great first ruck, I really think Sweet would be more than capable to do what we need if partnered with English - we just refuse to trial it though
Could not worry about Lobb and get an upgrade in English, and spend our whole off-season on fixing the defence and be sitting pretty well for next year. Build around Darcy at CHB for a couple of years - he will dominate the position if we start pressuring entries, English at CHF (Darcy & JUH just too young and inexperienced to rely on forward yet) and a brute ruck like Soldo or Sweet in the middle to help our onball brigade.
I’m sort of resigned to Dunks leaving and using 8 & 11 to fix our holes or hit the draft Dunks, Hunter & JJ off the list would free up a ton of cash. I still want him to stay but geez if we can’t make a midfield of Bont, Macrae, Baz, Libba, Treloar work we’ve got bigger issues, it just can’t be personnel
Soldo’s footy IQ is lacking to say the least, plus Richmond won’t break up the Cro Club they have going there.Soldos stats vs Sweets are interesting

Ultimately though personnel won’t matter if we don’t sort out our coaching/ footy dept
Absolutely, particularly when you have to wonder what Treloar’s next steps are if Dunkley goes. I’m not sure he sees out his 5 years with usWasn’t so long ago we were talking very confidently about the midfield being the least worrisome area of depth. Things can change pretty quickly!

Spotted in socials that Adam had shoulder surgery today. Doesn’t strike me as someone pulling the pin and not being committed to his career/club. Surely a good sign of his commitment. Obviously Dunks has always been leaving. I struggle to understand how the club could have believed otherwise. Could we shake someone out from Port. Duursma perhaps.?Absolutely, particularly when you have to wonder what Treloar’s next steps are if Dunkley goes. I’m not sure he sees out his 5 years with us

With Treloar I didn’t mean he’d be leaving next year. I can just see a scenario where he may pull the pin a year or so early if his wife continues to live in QLD etc.Spotted in socials that Adam had shoulder surgery today. Pick 8 and Port Compo for dunks
Flip Pick 8 and 13 for West Coast Pick 2
Draft Harry Sheezel
They're professional athletes not little kids. Nothing more needs to be saidThanks for your input.
Yeah more meant he might just pull the pin early. Would love to know if his contract is back endedTo be honest, I don't think he's got 3 good years left in him. I'm not even sure if he's got 1 good year left. No other club is going to want him.
Rebuild because if one player..the hysteriaWould rather take two first rounders to the draft and hedge our bets. Two high quality mids from this draft to kick off our rebuild would be nice.
Or... Do we just go hard and do a direct swap of Dunkley for Zac Butters...Pick 8 and Port Compo for dunks

What do you mean nothing more needs to be said? This is a fan forum where opinions are discussed. They're professional athletes not little kids. Nothing more needs to be said
The way you framed your post was that when Dunkley leaves treloar won't be able to cope and will retire...What do you mean nothing more needs to be said? This is a fan forum where opinions are discussed.
I said he may not see our his five years, not that he’ll retire next year. The way you framed your post was that when Dunkley leaves treloar won't be able to cope and will retire...
You may have meant something differently but that is how it came across.
They're professional athletes not children
I'm mainly responding in a negative way to those saying its rebuild time all because of Dunkley ... probably the same people who thought the club could address weaknesses with his exitI said he may not see our his five years, not that he’ll retire next year.
That’s my opinion. You may not share it but you don’t have to respond In a negative way to everyone who has a different opinion to yourself
