Hence why if we want Gardnier just sign him as a FAAnd the further weakened when we bring Jones in. Not really expecting anything much of value

Agree to an extent. But players don't consider the wing to be a midfield role. I don't know why, but I've often heard. "Yeah, nah ive moved from the wing to the midfield" or similar.Saying we don’t need midfielders is a bit strange.
We badly need an offensive and a defensive minded winger. The game is currently being played by rebound via fast midfield players, usually wingers. We don’t have anyone who can either shutdown one of these opposition players OR be one of these players for ourselves.
Disagree with that. English would be fist pumping the air. He hates rucking. I personally like him playing 2ndruck and as a forward.
Yep you make some fair points regarding the quality of the Dockers backline. It has been a consistent back 6 that has performed well. But i live in Perth, surrounded by Dockers mates and have watched a lot of his matches. And the wash up, my opinion is that he's just not that good. As for my purple clad warrior mates, they're really not that phased if he stays or goes either. I know our backline has been very porous this season, but if we think he'd become our back key back, then we'll be mightily disappointed.
English, publicly, has said the exact opposite. He wants to be the no 1 manDisagree with that. English would be fist pumping the air. He hates rucking. I personally like him playing 2ndruck and as a forward.
Imagine the cheesiness of a joint trade request.Trade Radio I believe starts tomorrow 10am and very possible Dunkley and Treloar request a trade together....would be a trade radio kind of get! and I think Pickering may be partners in some form with Hutchy and both love the drama. I could be wrong but given Dunkley's sister and Treloar's partner and daughter are up there (and Dunkley's partner is from QLD) it could be the logical decision made. If they both go then it will free up about 1.2 million a year and add to that JJ, Martin and a few other delistings/trades then we are going to have over 2 million a year to play with.
I think it would work well. Re shape the list! Get a really good KPD in with Lobb and Jones and target another young mid, winger and small forward via draft and cheap trades.
He can suck it up for 2 years or Westcoast can pay the price. Like it or not we are instantly a better team with Grundy as our number one ruck imo…Because the moment that trade request comes in we most likely have English putting in his own?
Colour me shocked lol!English, publicly, has said the exact opposite. He wants to be the no 1 man
Did you got to the EL final? F@@k that went from chocolates to boiled lollies way to quickly!Haha same, Perth Bulldog with a lot of Docker mates (who wants to be friends with Eagles supporters?).
Fair enough, there are a lot of mixed opinions of him. I've watched all their games on tv and been to 8 or 9 live over the last two years and I personally just think he's a really solid, above average defender, but poor as a forward. I wouldn't want to give up a ton for him as would need to be a hefty trade haul, plus salary, but will probably suit North in that regard. Interesting to see how he goes as a KPD at North next year next to Mckay.
Treloar would have to take a huge pay cut. Collingwood wouldn't foot a third of his pay if he left us, the agreement was with us. But...Trade Radio I believe starts tomorrow 10am and very possible Dunkley and Treloar request a trade together....would be a trade radio kind of get! and I think Pickering may be partners in some form with Hutchy and both love the drama. Read Tom Boyd's book. Pickering and Boyd had a meeting with Peter Gordon DURING the 2014 season.Nobody will ever take that mantle off Ryan Griffen.
Bont is the only person who could request a trade that would have the magnitude of Griffen wanting to leave at the time did.
Surely it’s getting to the stage where Brisbane will have to trade a really good player for any of this to be possible? Especially given the Ashcroft scenario.Trade Radio I believe starts tomorrow 10am and very possible Dunkley and Treloar request a trade together....would be a trade radio kind of get! and I think Pickering may be partners in some form with Hutchy and both love the drama. The one with loose lips in this was Pickering.Read Tom Boyd's book. Pickering and Boyd had a meeting with Peter Gordon DURING the 2014 season.
Pickering walked in and told Gordon the only players GWS would entertain trading Boyd for at the end of 2014 were Ryan Griffen or Marcus Bontempelli.
Boyd said he nearly fell off his chair that Pickering was asking for the club captain in return - obviously none of them knew Bont would be the better player, but imagine if the club had agreed then and there to swap Bont for Toyd? At that stage Griffen had not decided to bail yet, and McCartney (Brendan) was also privy to the discussions as the current coach.
Sliding doors and all, but we could have lost Bont AND Griffen by the end of the year if Gordon had acted differently.
Yep Eagles have NicNat on his last legs and their big bodied kpf, Kennedy, has retired, so Jackson would make a massive difference to them, far more than Freo.West Coast need a ruck a million times more than Freo, so then chasing Jackson would also benefit them in the short and long term and make it less likely for English to be chased as well.
If they want Jackson and need more picks, hey ho well how about some picks for Barrass?
Dunkley and Treloar for McCluggage, plus some random picks going both ways?! McCluggage, like the Berrys, is from the western Vic area, and all 3 went to the same school in Ballarat. People who know them all say McCluggage is a great bloke too. Same people say at least one of the Berrys, not so much (allegedly).Surely it’s getting to the stage where Brisbane will have to trade a really good player for any of this to be possible? Power would be trying to pry an ex-Victorian home, who knows, this could’ve been sorted months ago.
Yeah, from the bits I've read, Pickering managed the whole thing, managed Boyd back to Melbourne, managed Griffen out of VUWO without being his manager, and seems he played Gordon and GWS as well. And now Dunkley...The one with loose lips in this was Pickering.
I think that’s more likely than us handing over 1-2 really good players to a contending team and getting a fringe defender along with an okay draft pick in return.Dunkley and Treloar for McCluggage, plus some random picks going both ways?!
